Probably worth holding off on buying any new psn games till they announce the full lineup for the psplus extra tier as there may well be be quite a few of these included in that.

Changes in the UK don't happen until the 23rd of June at the earliest. Could be delayed a bit depending on how smooth the change over goes in other countries over the next month.

Ehhhh I disagree, it really hasn't aged well. Back in the Dreamcast days it was revolutionary that you could talk to anyone and rifle through their drawers, but now it's such a slow slog of a game (edited)

Oof may have to double dip on Quake. Picked it up on Switch and having a blast, I somehow managed to miss it in the 90s!

I loved my dreamcast to bits. Arcade games in the home? Yes please! It was the first and last time that the arcade hardware would be virtually the same as the home hardware and it was such an exciting few summers where brilliant games came out month on month that I will always be trying to reach that level of joy, free time and disposable income I had at that time. Now I just get the occasional 30mins to play a game, which would have suited dreamcast games perfectly except Shenmue. Sega punched above the technology available at the time (loss leader in the hardware) three times in a row (32x, Saturn and Dreamcast) and that is what killed them, along with a stonking PS and PS2. Shame. However the recent run of ps5 games has been quite fun, shame games these days are too big to release quickly. I want high quality and resolution arcade games!

can you give us an update on the classic games included please mate

Will do! Opted to upgrade the Indo sub purely as I’ve had it far longer than the Turkey account so got far more invested in it with paid and PS+ games and there’s also back up payment methods like PSN cards. Not 100% sure if I’ll see Ubi Classics on there but I’ll know soon enough.

Totally agree. The same with quite a few classic older games too really. Can see how they were revolutionary back then and paved the way, but nowadays they still have all the issues that current games have moved passed since, and sometimes they can affect the games, even more so now

Nice one, I know you are similar to me and probably own 90% of the Ubisoft classics anyway. lol. That's why I am more interested in the classic games, with the sales and all that I own most of the current games that have been announced. Its why Im never fully hyped for these services as I buy too many current gen games, bit like the Nintendo one I am most interested in the stuff i couldnt play before on the ps4/5.... so far the announced stuff is underwhelming.. for ps1/ps2/PSP... but they reckon more is to be announced... who knows... ps3 stuff seems less than was on Now lol. 2 step forwards 2 steps back.

For a new game that owns no games... its look like a corking service.

Aye mate, even if someone can get the sub purchased it's what comes further down the line when you need to renew it without (possibly) any means of paying for it, with months of linked PS+ games on the account...

They always sound really interesting to me, then I read reviews and most of them say things usually turn into you running and gunning your way out of trouble instead of just being a sniper game.

I completed Sniper Elite 2 when it came out but I did find the sequels became more run and gun games, yeah. For me, the gameplay just gets a bit repetitive once the novelty of the slo-mo shots wears off. There's not much of a story to keep you invested.

Pick up a 2nd hand dreamcast, its very hackable

Regarding Shenmue: I would add and say it has aged poorly in many ways. A trendsetter at the time but as many games, they last as long as the technology gets updated. I would only buy if you owed it on the Dreamcast and are looking for a bit of nostalgia.

This is why when there is a debate over releasing remade games, I believe there is completely a market for it, that I’m up for it, but quite often it’s better to do that than remaster if the game is past a certain age. There are some games I’d love to see a new fresh lick of paint on (similar to how they did Resident Evil 2 & 3)
