Our ninja foodi died after 16 months and opted not to spend so much on a product that has such a limited warranty.
I just stumbled across this and thought I'd give it a try, with top cash back it brings it down to £98.99. I think having the larger tray will be handy for when we want to do a joint (5.5l and 3.5l).

Info added by @Sashecuador

  • We all know air frying is the healthier way to fry your favourite food, using hot air instead of oil to get the taste you love without all the grease or the calories. But with two separate baskets for cooking different foods at the same time, the Lakeland Dual Air Fryer takes cooking to a whole new level, letting you get twice as much out of your air fryer in the same amount of time – time-saving and energy-saving, what’s not to love? And it'll help save money as well. If you're a family who loves a weekly chippy tea, you'll save plenty of pennies by treating yourself with a Friday 'fakeaway'.
  • Dual baskets

  • While most air fryers have just one basket for cooking one thing at a time, this clever machine has both a 5.5 litre basket and a 3.5 litre basket for cooking two different foods at once, so you can use it in place of your oven, rather than as just another kitchen helper. Depending on when you want each dish to be ready, you can either choose separate times for when you want your food to finish cooking, or you can set both baskets to finish cooking at the same time, so that both dishes are piping hot and ready to serve together. Fish without the chips, anyone? We didn’t think so!

  • Not just for chips

  • When people think of air frying, they usually think of crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside golden chips. And while it does indeed cook perfect chips, from thick-cut to skinny potato fries, it’s so much more than a one-trick chip wonder. From chicken wings, seafood and juicy steaks to pork, onion rings and even cupcakes, it’s hard not to be impressed by its versatility – Evie from our Buying Team successfully cooked up a full English breakfast in it!

  • Pre-set programmes

  • You can set both baskets to cook at custom times and temperatures or, if you prefer, there are eight pre-set programmes to choose from, which are easy to select at the touch of a button:

  • Frozen French fries
  • Roast potatoes
  • Cake, bread and scones

Steak
  • Drumsticks
  • Chicken wings

Shrimp
  • Roast sausage

Egg tart
  • The taste you love, without the calories

  • Air fryers have become quite the cooking sensation over the last few years, and it’s easy to see why – by circulating hot air evenly from every direction, it cooks your favourite foods using little to no oil, meaning less fat, less grease and, perhaps most importantly, fewer calories.

Easy to use

  • The multi-functional touchscreen panel is really easy to read and use, with separate screens to display and adjust the cooking settings for each basket and the eight pre-set functions which are clearly displayed across the top. The baskets are non-stick so food is easy to remove and they’re easy to clean afterwards too.

  • As with all Lakeland electricals, it’s been tested, tested and tested again until we’re confident it’s more than up to the task. It’s also covered by our 3-year guarantee for added reassurance – and it’s a great price too!

I've got to say that Ninja's 1yr warranty really does put me off... Doesn't really shout "confidence in our product", and they're not exactly a trivial expense.

This looks like an interesting option worth investigating further, thanks for posting.

Ninja about to properly fight for their place in the dual basket air fryer market? Could we be seeing a longer warranty announced shortly? We certainly need to.

Competition is hotting up and that can be only good news for consumers.

Yep, our AF300UK has just gone out of warranty When we bought it (prime Day 2021) it was literally the only dual basket air fryer on the market and for the £130 we paid for it we are very happy. But should it go faulty in less than 3 years no way I'm buying another Ninja with so many models now on the market with 3x longer warranties. (edited)

Have you had it long? Used it much? How does it compare with the Ninja that you had?

Hi, I've only just ordered but I suspect it will be used daily as we hardly used our main oven when we had the ninja, will update once it arrives

I just phoned them. Stock isn't expected at the warehouse until 8th August so don't expect a delivery any time soon. Cancelled my order and gone with the Daewoo one instead for £83.27 if Topcashback pays out

Ive ordered the Daewoo one as well, Lakelands have said it is scheduled for the 8th August. But has already been delayed by a month, no guarantee that it will come in. Then be another few days shipping. Will see how quickly the Daewoo direct progresses and then cancel my other order.

Recieved today, very happy with the product but I can't work out how to sync cooking times between drawers, can anyone help?
    Nealjane100's avatar
    Nealjane100
Used mine for first time today and just realised same - no sync finish!! You’d think it was a basic function for cooking!!😡
  14. breeno2's avatar

Just got it today as well and in the same situation. It doesn't seem to have a sync function which is disappointing. Unless anybody else has figured it out? It's not mentioned in the instruction manual. The product blurb mentions items finishing at the same time which I assumed meant synced cooking but it's a more generic wording that they can finish at the same time.
  15. bellboys's avatar
    bellboys
If this genuinely doesn't have a SYNC function I'm staggered at Lakeland for sourcing/stocking this!

I thought lakeland were pretty good at responding to negative customer reviews but no sign of a response to this one

"No Sync finish on this Air fryer (just bad Generic wording)"star star star star_border star_border
Description states - “ …you can set both baskets to finish cooking at the same time, so that both dishes are piping hot and ready to serve together” = which you would assume means SYNC FINISH?. Nothing in instructions or on display to show that it has sync finish or how to do this important function - so I’m a bit disappointed I cant set both baskets with different food/times set to finish at same time - you’d think it was a basic function (surely most users would expect things to finish at same time??!) Other than that - impressed with what Ive cooked so far - nice looking too..

    Extremely diasppointing. (edited)

The Ninja one goes up to 240⁰C and also has a dehydrate setting. If you aren't fussed about those settings then this would do!

Ninja is 2500w this is 1500w, I'm guessing max temps and therefore cooking times may be slower on this?
    Jon_atkinson's avatar
    Jon_atkinson
Max temp on ninja is 240°, this is 200°.
So yes ninja gets hotter, but have you ever had a need or want to cook anything at 240°? Probably overkill and would turn your chips into crisps.
200° on both machines will cook around equally(just depends on air distribution), but preheat may take marginally longer with this
