I've never heard of this Akuwat foundation, considering that they only collected £36k in their accounting period and then only spent £12k doesn't inspire confidence.
I'd recommend donations are made to more established and verified charities such as Islamic Relief, Human Appeal etc who all have "boots on the ground".

Glass half empty - Is this not a bit pointless as the infrastructure has been washed away and you cannot make or receive calls in the affected areas?

Hi.. let me explain, as i have my family living there. So the internet facilities are imensly disrupted there. We can only reach out to them through normal calls. So i guess this will help

Why not make all calls free, you know like "equality"... Wonder come winter if people from other countries will be send old folks, unemployed and poor families money to stop them freezing to death....

From Ukraine to Pakistan the poor are always affected regardless of conflict or natural disasters, a good gesture goes a long way than nothing at all.

    Great gesture.
People who can't make a positive comment and appreciate the immense value this has to those who have loved ones out there need to keep their opinions to themselves.

Be Careful with Plusnet.... they have ruined my credit store, once they told me to leave their mobile network, ( I guess it went bust ), and find a competitor EE ( probably with kick backs ), they then kept on charging me and this has affected my credit rating. Very Disappointed, was told all cancelled, but was not.... BE WARNED!! - GET THEM TO SEND YOU AN EMAIL TO CONFIRM

You can get them to request the credit score entry is removed if it's incorrect.
