Looking for a garden shredder myself. This seems to be a relatively good price. Not the lowest, but good enough, I suppose.

  • Powerful 3000W impact shredder
  • Two reversible, hardened steel blades shred branches, brambles, and shrubs to a fine mulch
  • Integrated handle and large wheels for easy movement around the garden
  • Large container holds up to 55L of shredded material
  • Safety plunger pushes green material into the shredder and keeps fingers away from the cutting blades

First, it's 240V mains, not battery powered.
Second, its not impact - it has rotary gears that munch branches, twigs and some leaves.
We have a similar one, not Ryobi, that we use to chop branches and prunings from a large mature garden.
    Works well, and acceptably quiet.
Fine with leaves except for thick ones eg laurels, which can jam it, then you press the reverse button to clear it.
Thick leaves are best left to dry and shrivel first.
Minor annoyance is the output container is never big enough
Last autumn, I must have produced 200 containers full !
It produces chipped bark rather than a soft mulch, but that keeps weeds down fine.
Blades never need adjusting so far.
A lot more practical than hiring one.

Honest question. I used to have McAlister one and it was a great tool. Is this any better concidering the price?

This is an impact shredder, so most certainly not silent.

Wattage 3000W - Power Source AC, and then Amazon asks if you'd like to buy a 5Ah 18 battery to go with it !
