Update 2
Ends today
Good news! Also just before Christmas, which isn't too far away! From 13th to 19th December, Colleague Clubcard discount will jump from 10% to 20%.

Uuusally you''ll get your Colleague Clubcard giving you 10% off Tesco groceries, 20% off F&F clothing, 25% off Tesco Café, 10% off Tesco Mobile and more.

I'm hoping the 20% stacks with F&F discount and others? Maybe a staff member can let us know in the comments

Very little help, as everything is going up, but the pay is not going up for Tesco staff, but they give them 20% off food shopping, better than nothing.

Coop has 30% on own brand discount until March 2023

I work part time and didn't know about this..so I appreciate this...thank u....I also hope people appreciate we ...tesco staff ..any shop staff...don't go into their work space and give them dogs abuse as we receive on a daily basis...I don't go into a council office...a solicitors..an estate agents..orca builders yard...and start slamming bottles of vodka on self service tills cos they had to wait 5 minds longer than they wanted....people need to chll..more when they shop....seriously the staff are just people but treated like dirt

Email came early Tuesday morning so even if you don't use internet it will be communicated before the dates as it's not till December!

Is this happening across supermarkets in the lead up to Christmas? I remember reading recently that John Lewis were going to pay an extra bonus to new and existing staff for incentive and retention purposes. Am I right?

To Tesco "Colleagues"... Do you all still get a free choice of yellow sticker items (read "reduced") at 9pm every day? I've seen the "£0.00" yellow Tesco Colleague stickers that go on top of the other yellow stickers.
Is there any limit to this i.e. can you help yourself to everything. (edited)

Sainsburys have given 15% colleague discount December to early January over the last couple of years, also more recently 15% every payday week Friday to Tuesday. This year it's from mid-November to beginning of January with 20% discount for a couple of days in December. Also, colleagues have access to a spread of food to eat before, during or after shifts.

I think it's a £500 one-off payment for John Lewis? They're also doing the free food for colleagues (I think they were the first to announce)

Nice to see that nobody is complaining. Was getting tired of people moaning whenever places offer student or NHS discounts simply because they’re not eligible.

Totally agree, same with Blue Light Card too

does it work with Clubcard Plus and the extra 10% off a big shop - Everyone can join for a FREE month and cancel
    caspre12's avatar
Yes it does! Did it last year! Can use it on top of the 25% off F&F they do too

Does anyone know if they'll be doing running this this year too? And what dates it'll be on. I want tobe able to accidentally ask a friend to come out shopping with me during this period to save a little bit extra. Every little helps and all
    MrChrisOnline's avatar
I don't remember dates sorry, but heard from my former co workers still there that's it's on this year, I think mid month
  10. rossco1874's avatar
It started Tuesday and runs to next Tuesday at 11:59pm
    WhiteElephant's avatar
Thank you for confirming. I'm going to take my friend (who works at Tesco) shopping either tomorrow or the day after

How random posting a 'staff' discount on a national deal site for the general public. If you work at Tesco you should already know what discount scheme is available. Are people going to start posting every employee scheme discount now
  12. Sherbat's avatar
I take back what I said earlier after reading the news on this properly. It's still going to be one heck of a festive period for the workers.

Still think Tescos is one of the worst when it comes to prices and treating their own staff right in favour of more profit. Salary is still under living wage and Aldi offers a better base hourly pay. Can't price match that! (edited)
    rossco1874's avatar
Tesco is above living wage starting at 10.10 ph

Tesco is a dire company to work for - I was there 7 years - bent over backwards to help them, you will get zero praise for anything. When I started at John Lewis it was another world - plus we get 25% discount and 20% at Waitrose.
  14. bibizizi's avatar
The biggest Tesco staff discount is yellow stickers. Pay attention at the end of the day to employees using self checkout and paying in cash.
    daddybr00's avatar
If you’re unfortunate enough to have to make a living working at Tesco, why not? Fair play to them. Every little helps.

Its only 10% in the cafe now - was cut at the last payrise. And yes F&F stcks with offers - so 25% off jeans, then 20% with staff card. £19 jeans would be £14.25 with 25% off sale, or £11.40 to staff
    MrChrisOnline's avatar
    Yup, this is the case.

Absolutely a rip off it should really be 50% off due to prices going up. Come on Tesco 20% really I rather go to Lidl there u save more than 20% when u do the maths.
  20. fallout51's avatar
Nice 1. My mother retired from Tesco a few years ago and still gets the use of her card.
    20% off booze 😁

Need to have been employed for 3 months and on a permanent contract.
My daughter is on part-time until January (started end August) and doesn't/won't qualify for the employee discount!
Seems that's the standard approach in both our local stores - everyone is on short term contracts, so no discounts given.

Mind you, she got a bargain at the end of her shift last night.
Due to the new law on junk food, her Express store had to completely remove their small ice-cream freezer, as it was situated near the door.
Staff were told to help themselves to the contents. She came in the door with about £200 of ice lollies
    Husla's avatar
Tesco don't do permanent contracts. Most people will be on temp contract that just gets extended where see fit and then maybe after a year, they might give you a permanent contract. Tesco contracts usually are around 7-15 hours and maybe 20, if you're lucky and department you're in doesn't have enough cover.

They gave 20% discount last year before Christmas. I just presumed it was the same every year.
  30. Katro16's avatar
Idk why this is so hot, they have done 20% weekends for years.
    mcivoronline's avatar
    Normally 15%
  31. Spartan117b's avatar
Where would the country be if they all join the strikes :/ think they are the only ones not striking.
  32. Husla's avatar
This is normal.. they do this only at Christmas.
  33. jay__'s avatar
20% is a decent amount, especially in current times
  34. Besford's avatar
20% all the time at M&S: food, clothing and everything else. These are not just discounts, they are M&S staff discounts!

But what's the relevance to 99% of HUKD members? Zero.
    najiba_bahoussain's avatar
Still rip off should be 50% off. If a 6 pack walkers gone up to £2 instead of £1 n u use ur 20% off what kinda saving is that. 50% off gets u to £1 n that was the price back in 2019.
  35. Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
Tescos can afford this because they aren't dropping the price of fuel. Paid for by self-employed tradesmen that get no discounts from anyone and have to fill their vans up with overpriced fuel.
    ACIDFORUMS's avatar
    Just tradesmen that fill up?
  36. zararh's avatar
    thanks

Don’t forget you can get 1 months of Clubcard Plus free for a month if you’ve never used it before, which gives you two 10% vouchers off two shops - max £20 per transaction. Works alongside staff discount.
Does have quite a lot of exclusion, but worth doing anyway, just remember to cancel before it renews if you don’t want to continue with it. Also has a few extra discounts off items which I noticed on my receipt, no idea what or why.
  38. madfish's avatar
Does anyone know if this counts from the date you collect on an online shop? booked it today for collection on the 21st, will that only be the 10%
    LaughingJoke's avatar
Unfortunately yes that will only be the 10%, it has to be active on the day they charge so this will miss that by a couple days. May be worth cancelling and trying to head to the store to do your shop this weekend if you can, to take advantage of the double discount?
  39. afs.afs's avatar
anyone know when the next 15% is?
    ms01ma's avatar
Every 4th Monday next one will be on 6/2
  40. Simbass's avatar
I think it should be next week, lm sure someone can confirm
