Crampton & Moore had the 55" for £615 yesterday, I got Curry's to price match them... It wasn't until I got home that I saw Ebuyer had it for £579 as shown under the Curry's price promise! 😡

They also tried to sell me a warranty for £3 odd a month, saying that it only came with a 12 month guarantee but then later saw online that it states 5 years! (It doesn't state that on the reciept though)

Q60 rather than Q65, does this make any difference, if not-this is an excellent offer. How do you get curry's to match?

I'm in two minds about this TV, Freeview HD and standard dynamic range content looks great, bright, surprisingly very good contrast but HDR looks so lackluster! It's like it loses its good native contrast, as if there's less dynamic range... SDR looks better.

There's a fair bit of light bleed and also a small amount of dirty screen effect when viewing test screens. It's only noticeable in normal viewing conditions during changing between apps or when a channel isn't airing etc. Maybe I should expect this from an edge lit TV but it bugs me. (edited)

Pay another £40 and you can get a 5 year warranty with john Lewis or 6 year with richer sounds.

Ooo no actually didn’t see that. Amateur error on my part! In Q&A it says just the 12 months manufacture warranty

48407182-lNojY.jpgI contacted crampton and moore about this TV and they confirmed it does come with a 5 year warranty.

Went for the Q80B in the end , delivered today ,but not opened as unsure if it's any good ,Got it in the eBay money off on the last minute.

EDIT : THIS IS 65B and not eBay 😁 (edited)

I'm going to pop back this week and try to get them to price match for £579.60 as it states you can go back up to 7 days after purchase (edited)

If anyone is going for a price match with Curry's against Ebuyer for the 55" at £579, it has now gone out of stock on Ebuyer. I was lucky that the manager could see that it went OOS 14mins before I came in and allowed the price match (edited)

Just a follow up. I took the Q60 back due to the light bleed issue and the fact it just can't display HDR in all its glory (bright HDR content like 4k HDR demos on YouTube looked ok, not jaw dropping but general HDR content from Netflix, prime etc looked far too dim and just not enjoyable).

Picked up the new Samsung S95b Quantum Dot Oled instead 🤘 it's a chunk more expensive at £995 (price matched by Curry's) but it is superb! Plus the sound isn't lacking either so saved a couple hundred quid on a sound bar. Defo worth the extra cash

Good to know ,I've just set up mum q80b ,not neo ,but for her she's hard of hearing ,the sound is impressive. Not checked out any HDR content. My personal next TV will be OLED. I came from a plasma to the 55NU8000. which is a great TV ,albeit 5 year old.enjoy the TV ,sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to be happy

May I ask, will this model at some point have the Xbox game pass ultimate app? The web says all Samsung 2022 models will get it. Would like to know before purchasing
