Hot chocolate, reimagined by us. Urban engineered by Dualit, embracing Mayan ingenuity. When you’re craving delectably smooth, whipped hot chocolate, make it your daily ritual with the Velvetiser.

When you need a morning boost or a flavanol-rich post-gym pick me up, you’re just 2.5 minutes away from barista-grade hot chocolate. Or curl up on the couch with a velvety and indulgent cup in the evening. Whatever your lifestyle, the Velvetiser delivers.

Just choose your flavour. Add our flakes of real chocolate to your choice of dairy, plant milk or water. Then press the button and let the patented velvetising process deliver luxurious cloud-like chocolate velvet.

Your Velvetiser takes up the same space as a kettle and adjusts easily for a left and right hand pour. It might not be suitable for dishwashers but as it’s so quick and easy to clean, why wait? Just pop out the whisk and rinse the non-stick coating with water and you’re ready for the next cup.

The classic copper clad Velvetiser is chic, stylish and on-trend, with looks good enough to grace any kitchen countertop. And we even supply a pair of podcups that just fit into the palm of your hand. So you can cradle that chocolate goodness as you savour every sip. Rich, creamy and decadent, why not indulge yourself with the ultimate in hot chocolate?

1-year full parts and labour guarantee.

These units are made by dualit (as declared by hotel Chocolat) and they look 95% similar to the milk forther dualit sell (main difference is the (nicer)outer color, a longer handle for the whisk and slightly different outer handle shape)

Someone has commented on earlier deals of the velvetasier on hukd that he did blind tests on friends and family using both the dualit forther and the hotel Chocolat mechine and no one could tell the difference.

Based on his advise I happily bought an unused dualit branded unit off ebay for £25 and am very very happy with my purchase after watching various unboxing/review YouTube videos of the hotel Chocolat unit I have to agree that the functionality must be very very similar minus asethic difference. However there is a £50 difference in RRP..... You can buy a lot of chocolate with £50.... (edited)

48413280-9xnub.jpgI had one of these and they are amazing, however I ended up selling it in favour of a cheaper version from Amazon. The cheaper one does the exact same thing, but with the added beneift of holding way more milk, also having frothing options. The cherry on the top is being able to put it in the dishwasher too!

It's not as nice looking as the Hotel Chocolat one, but I have no regrets changing to the cheaper one. Just thought I would drop this in here in case it helps anyone. (edited)

Looks good but still kind of expensive for something that I will just use once and forget about.

Bought one last year - rarely come below this price now. Would I buy it again - no. Don't get me wrong - it makes a lovely drink, maybe even a a little smoother than others on the market, but it is essentially a pretty device for a lot of money that does something many other things can do for a fraction of the price.

If you drink a lot of chocolate maybe it's worth the expense

A Genuine 'use loads for 3 weeks, then place in back of cupboard next to ice cream maker, panini press, smoothie maker etc that you were "definitely going to use daily" ' purchase.

Oh been wanting one of these but im wondering wether they will go cheaper before Christmas? Or is this a good deal?

It was £89 last month with 2 mugs and a multi pack of sachets so I don’t think this is great x

A Velvetiser, in essence, is a hot chocolate making machine. It heats up the milk and melts the chocolate at the same time as whisking it all together.

Milk frothers are designed to froth rather than whisk/beat, but they will work to a degree. However, the Velvetiser is specifically designed to make the hot chocolate or Latte.

The velvetiser has a spinning disk exactly the same as a cheap milk frother. They do the same thing. I was given a velvetiser and it's sleek and easy to use but the end product is warm milk mixed with melted chocolate. There's no magic that's worth £70 unless you count marketing

This seems a good price. We have one and love it, we just use the cadbury's hot chocolate powder with it and it's fine.

Looks to be a solid £30 cheaper than John Lewis (for example) and both look to come with 2x cups

My only worry with these, how to clean them properly.

Got this a couple years ago. Still use it and it's brilliant. Don't need to buy their chocolate. We just use nestquick. Plus a little bit of amaretto on special occasions

QVC usually do a deal near Christmas TSV usually get product with it too, if you keep an eye out for it

    I got one last year.

    Brilliant piece of kit.

Got the 2 cups, box of mixed hot chocs and a £25 voucher for Hotel Chocolat.

Although this was £59 I wouldn’t pay more than that either. This will probably come down some more nearer Black Friday

This looks like a bare unit - some sets QVC - offer it with 2 cups (which are Ok) and a couple of storage tins, Costco had cups and a sample box of sachet's which are about £14.

Costco had a bag of their own brand choc chips 2kg for about 10 quid 51% choc which might make the drinks cheaper. Else it's wait for Hotel Chocolat sales and stock up.

Got this last year. Obviously makes excellent hot choc but also does Ovaltine and Horlicks etc, as so easy to clean afterwards making it no hassle at all. Just boil a kettle and preheat a mug first so temperature isn't a problem. Ours do get used a lot so I would recommend it. There's plenty of alternative brand hot chocs instead of the premium Hotel options.

Does this come with any of the chocolates? The one from Costco came with 10 single serve, but was £90 all in

Got one of these a couple of years ago and still use regularly, grate or chop up any chocolate or just froth up milk for a latte. The whisk bit got scorched somehow and Hotel Chocolat sent a free replacement.

Love hot chocolate a lot. I am on a diet so use Hersheys cocoa powder which has 10 calories per 5g of it plus some sweetener and almond milk - Is there any point in getting this? Would it make my hot chocolate taste better than my current method of just microwaving the milk and putting the hot chocolate powder and sweetener?

Or is this sort of stuff aimed at higher end cocoa powder to experience the true taste? (edited)

We use cheap powders in ours and its definitely nicer. Smoother and more frothy. Make an amazing cappuccino too, milk and coffee! 😋

Cheapest deal I posted was £64.95 a while back for this. Bought one myself but as others have mentioned it’s a lot to spend if your not a regular hot chocolate drinker …… at the same time the salted caramel is to die for

Popped in to local shop yesterday. Some short dated boxes were 20% off. I resisted as have far too much hot choc already, but always worth a nosy.
