Installation

Avoid using harsh chemicals to clean your oven with pyrolytic cleaning technology. It uses heat to burn away residue, which means you won't need to add chemicals – much better for the planet.

SenseCook

You can achieve ideal cooking results every time as the AEG BPS356020M Electric Oven features a food sensor. This allows you to measure the core temperature from the centre of your dish during the cooking process, making it easier to monitor your meal.

Hot Air system

The multifunction BPS356020M has a Hot Air convection system which circulates hot air even throughout the cavity. That means the oven heats up faster, as well as allowing you to cook efficiently at lower temperatures. This can help to save you both time and energy, taking the hassle out of cooking meals.

SteamBake

The BPS356020M's SteamBake feature adds steam to the start of the baking process. The steam cooking helps to create a golden crust on the outside, while keeping the middle soft and tender.

In addition to perfect cakes, breads and cookies, your Sunday roast and pasta bakes will all come out extra tasty.

Pyrolytic cleaning

Tired of spending your free time cleaning the oven? Pyrolytic cleaning does the hard work for you. It reduces dirt, grease and food residue to ash that can simply be wiped away once the oven has cooled down.

Serious question. How is heating an oven to 500 degrees much better for the planet than using chemicals?
    Mcclane4691's avatar
If the electricity is generated using zero carbon? Also have you used some of them chemicals- nasty and very toxic.

Pyrolytic? Isn’t that what you get if you have a few too many drinks?
    fishmaster's avatar
Pyrolytic ovens tackle the grime in a different way: they burn it with fire. Well, more specifically, the oven heats up to about 400 to 500°C, heating the baked-on bits until they carbonise and turn to ash – a process called pyrolysis

I'm only seeing £20 or £30 delivery options. Is there a way to get free delivery?
    ceaton88's avatar
I noticed this too but only after I had already chosen a free delivery day and applied a discount code to see if it works. After I came back from lunch I noticed they were charging £20.00 for delivery

Seems to still be active......perhaps someone would unexpire it (sorry I would if I knew how). Many thanks. Glad this seems to have helped some people as I've had plenty of great deals off this site in the past, nice to be able to contribute a little.

    You cost me £394 (edited)

Make sure you make use of the LKA25 discount code (£15 off over £299 on Major Appliances) (edited)

Imagine being rich enough to be able to afford to put the Pyrolytic mode on
    BraddersJ's avatar
I'm sure you're kidding but jic, I would think that for most of us here it's gonna be far cheaper/more efficient to run the oven on that high mode than the cost of the time it takes for you to deep clean the oven (as per your hourly wage - that's how I calculate whether things are worth my time or not tbh!)

My wife works for AEG and even with her staff discount she would struggle to get it for this price.
    barijohn's avatar
It's currently on their Black Friday sale for £470 if she can get her discount on there

I’m surprised people are still buying an electric oven.

What's the alternative, stuff two air fryers in the hole?

What most people tend to forget and I'm not aiming this directly at you @jrw, while some jobs sound like a 5-10 min job (which pisses me off) but you can forget the training, qualifications, insurance and etc for that trades man put when doing their jobs. You can't put a price on experience and knowledge.

Well it sounds like your a much more compliant DIYer than I am. Hope nothing goes wrong with your radiator and it was done to the same high level as a qualified trades man. Have a good day.
    jrw's avatar
For sure, hence me saying what is the hourly rate of a spark in your area - it isn't going to be £200 - that was my point.

Radiator has been in a year now and running fine - was probably done to a higher standard as I took the time to route the pipes through the wall instead of surface mounting them and trunking them. I have a friendly sparkie here now (he put all the electrics in the house when previous owner extended) and he asked who did the rad as he didn't remember it being there when the extenstion was built

Arrived today, I installed it and it is faulty with F102 code... the oven door lock is faulty and there is an intermittent clicking coming from it when switched on at the mains.

To get the door open I have to wedge the door lock bar up.

Who do I contact? Currys or AEG?

    Very disappointed
    jrw's avatar
Currys. They'll just send a replacement and swap out.

We’ve had AEG ovens & hobs for years and can’t fault them. Actually used the self cleaning function on both ovens today! Great price for a great oven
  12. Calvatron's avatar
I got this last year and it's great
    nocturnal74's avatar
I hope you are right, i ordered one for my mother as when I'm cooking there her crappy Gorenge oven cracks me up!
  13. Mcclane4691's avatar
I wish this had been this price about 3 month ago. We got a Neff with WiFi. The pyrolitic is brilliant. We had it with a Bosch aswell.
  14. campers's avatar
Does this needs a min 16amp circuit breaker ?
    barijohn's avatar
    According to AEG website, yes.
  15. Opularity's avatar
Does this work as a microwave too?
    L33TL33's avatar
This is an oven. You’re looking for a multi combi microwave
  16. La_Fouinard's avatar
Got this model earlier this year at a much high price. It’s been brilliant, the pyrolitic cleaning is great and cooks really well. Absolute steal at this price.
  17. RichardHopkins's avatar
I've got this oven. It's great.

Needs to be hard wired in. No plug on this one.
    AndrewMS3's avatar
you know when that's required it loves to eat your electricity while cooking for you..
  18. kaviraj's avatar
just saw the ad for this on TV
  19. Cremoso99's avatar
I nearly got this before I found out I needed an electrician with it. (edited)
    jrw's avatar
If you already have a supply then it's easy to swap over.
  20. Cremoso99's avatar
I got a Bosch instead, some of them come with a normal plug.

They use less electricity too, but I'm the AEG is easier to clean.
  21. AndrewMS3's avatar
Is this the type of cooker.."pyrolitic cleaning" that eats electricity just so that you dont make a bit of an effort every now and then in keeping it clean yorselves!
  22. ceaton88's avatar
Ordered thank you - £374.00 with code incl delivery
    Louoe-blue's avatar

  23. johno81's avatar

Just ordered one for my mother, she had a Gorenge oven and hob that the usual kitchen installer supplied the cheapest appliances.

I already swapped the hob for a Zanussi induction months ago as it was completely unusable.

This oven should take quicker than 20 minutes to preheat to 200 Celsius than the crappy Gorenge one.

How come this expired? I ordered this an hour ago?
  25. Schizophonic's avatar
Ordered. Purchased the induction hob as well. Used the £25 off code, then my work scheme gave me another £30 off then 6% off with a bit of savings here. Had to do both installs as I rather let the professionals do it and if they bugger it up, its on them rather than me messing around with fitting and wiring. Lets see what happens on delivery day!

Thanks for everyone contributing to the thread, it helps making decisions easier when people are asking questions I wouldn't have thought about! (edited)
  26. shamedbear3's avatar
Apparently it got expired as the free delivery no longer exists
  27. Louoe-blue's avatar
This is still available, worth checking regularly as delivery was showing £40 earlier today, free now to my postcode.
    robot1000's avatar
It's really odd. It just came up with free delivery and then I stupidly went back to order another item and it went back to £20
  28. robot1000's avatar
It's now back in stock with free delivery.
    slojo's avatar
Showing as £20 delivery for me

Ordered Friday night, installed this morning. Happy days. Need to work out controls and settings but HOB and Oven looking good. No issues and install process by the Currys team very good. Thank you team for delivering my new applicances.

    jrw's avatar
That looks like the easiest £200 ever for the installation team, i'm sure they would have been good for that price.
  30. Schizophonic's avatar
For what it is, it was an easy for them. As they do these installs day in and day out it was a straight forward remove and swap but as I've never changed or have seen how to do one I would be going in blind and trusting my instinct and what I can research for a 'correct' job to be done. While I don't somewhat agreeing for someone else to do a job, as they have the knowledge and knowhow I rather let someone else do it and get it done correctly first time rather me doing a half dangerous job messing with electrical or possibly incorrectly fitting resulting in damaged or mishandling goods.

It comes to the point in saying to yourself, spending time and effort to do it yourself and save some money or get someone else to do it and get it right first time. We all have our own level of knowledge and skills at doing certain jobs. I for one is building and repairing computers. People rather pay me to do this job rather than then doing something incorrectly.
    ceaton88's avatar
No need to explain yourself dude if you have the money and don't want the hassle then good for you enjoy your new oven
  31. tianuk3's avatar
Does anyone know how hard it is to remove their old built in oven? Do you think someone from TaskRabbit could install?

    ceaton88's avatar
Really, I've yet to try it - did it cain your energy bill? Or stink the house out?
