Look at getting a silicon liner pot. Saves scratching the non-stick, and makes things easier to clean / remove from the drawer (especially a whole chicken). It also collects all the juice etc.
I bought this off Amazon. Pair of pots. Not too much wasted space, comes by post, fits through the letterbox, and is currently £10.99 plus 5% tick box, so £10.44.

Dumb question but are silicone liners 'safe' when cooking food? Silicone doesnt seem like a material I should be cooking food in

Really impressed with this. We already had a small air fryer but didn't use it much being a 2L and it also smells similar to using a deep fat fryer and stinks the house out. This Costco one doesn't and is great.

I've cooked a whole chicken in it, chips, fishcakes, made hard boiled eggs and tonight I did stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in bacon with roasted new potatoes. Came out really well and was cooked in 20-25 minutes.

Does everyone get that hot plastic smell when running it? I have used it for 3 times and it is not going away

Washed the drawer and crisper tray with some fairy liquid, dried it with some paper towel, ran the air fryer empty for 20 mins at max temp, did smell of plastic during operation, repeated the cleaning process again, plastic smell gone! (edited)

i found this when i used it first time on the 'fries' mode. instead i've learned to reduce the temp (from 200 to 180), use bake mode, use a teaspoon of oil, and regularly shake. they come out well in this state.

Please can I get a straight comparison between this and a ninja regardless of budget?

    Thanks

It depends which Ninja you're talking about.

Compared to Ninja's largest single drawer model, the Gourmia is MUCH cheaper, has a larger capacity (6.7L compared to 5.2L) comes with both a crisper plate and cooking rack (the Ninja only comes with the crisper plate, and the rack is an extra purchase), and has a few presets for some commonly cooked foods like fries and wings, which the Ninja doesn't have. The Ninja's max temp is 240 degrees, which is used for the "Max crisp" cooking mode, while the Gourmia's max temp is 200, so it doesn't have that mode. The Gourmia has a broil mode, while the Ninja does not.

Personally, I think the 2 drawer models are far more useful, simply because I can cook meals solely using the fryer as each drawer is heated independently and you can use different cooking modes with each too, if you want to. You can also use the sync mode so that both drawers finish at the same time, which is great. If I only had a single drawer fryer, I'd end up using the oven at the same time sometimes, which defeats some of the object of having an air fryer in the first place IMO. I have a Ninja AF400UK which I absolutely love, and I use it almost daily. I'm sure there are 2 drawer models from other manufacturers that are as good too. (edited)

I personally don't recognise Which's criticism. I've cooked a number of different things in mine and they've all come out perfect. When I cook frozen chips for example they take 15.mins so not sure they're getting 30 mins from. I can't attest to the energy efficiency as I've not measured it and have no other air fryers to compare, all I can say is my electric usage has come down since I've not used my main electric oven since. Are you sure Which are testing this exact model as there is an older version of the Gourmia air fryer.

Just cooked prawn crackers in mine (the uncooked ones you get at the Chinese supermarkets) Best method was putting about 18 in a bowl with a little oil, stirring around to cover (probably around a tablespoon)while the airfryer heats up and then throw them in ensuring they're not.touching each other. Take about 5 min and you'll hear them sort of popping and then jumping around. Taste so much better warm. Tried by just spraying a little bit of oil on them and they don't cook as quick or as well.

Anyone found any multi layer racks that fit please? (edited)

From the pictures it does look small for for 6.7L
When mine arrives, the first thing I will do is fill the basket up with water to measure the volume. More out of curiosity than anything else as I don't mind it being small.

Just ordered this as a second air fryer. I have the Salter XXL 8 Litre so with this I will be able to cook full meals without searial cooking and still use similar power consumption to a dual drawer model. I dunno how often I will need to use 2 but it think it will be good to have the option

I think this ones better than the 9.5l ninja, this one have more usable horizontal space. Being a 1/4 of the price as well you could just run 2 simultaneously.

Thanks op. Order the other day and Arrived today and also managed to return the 3L  Ambiano one from Aldi (which was surprisingly too small for me and the other half).

Mines didn’t come with a manual or recipe book though. Anyone else? (Edit: never mind it was underneath the bottom foam part) (edited)

You'll get an email with your delivery details and a tracking number. I think ours came via DPD (but my memory is pants so could be wrong, but we definitely had a tracking number etc as we changed the delivery of ours as we were away when it was due).

The holy grail is being able to cook a pizza in one and I’ve managed it with a 66p pizza from Aldi which fits my Cosori . You cover the top with tinfoil for half the time and you are done. 10-15 min cook time.

Love my airfryer but alas the removal tray is awful. Non stick covering comes off easily and now its almost un-cleanable.

Looked at replacement trays on amazon but its £20+ which is almost half of what i paid for the machine itself

Cooked with it for the first time last night.
Costco premium nuggets, I put foil under the tray and then nuggets, then the rack and more nuggets.
12 minutes later they were perfect, crispy and still juicy inside.
will do a whole chicken Saturday, might do jackets tonight.
Very impressed with it so far.

I cook those nuggets a lot and as you say, perfect results (200c for 9mins as I only do for one person) but why line with foil ? If to save washing the basket, it's the same as a saucepan if steeped in soapy water.
