No need for the resident hot chocolate maker to slave over a hot stove, slowly heating milk and showering cocoa powder. Instead, simply plug in your Velvetiser, choose your chocolate and your milk – dairy or plant-based, or even water if you prefer – and press the button. Plus, with the removable whisk and non-stick coating, cleaning is easy – just rinse out with cold water. (It’s not suitable for dishwashers – but they’d just slow you down anyway.)

    If you're near designer outlets the black Friday deals are ending today. Good deal in HC. Can't remember price but they had a good amount of stock . 2 for £10 on the boxes of hot choc. (Short dated but don't let that put you off, we have some from last year still - we buy too much hot choc- and it's still perfectly fine)

    In our local designer Outlet (Bridgend) the HC shop has Refurbished Velvetiser' s for £59.95. OK not as cheap as this offer but they have been officially refurbished plus you can pick the box you want from the shelf. We bought one on the weekend and the box was perfect and the same went for the velvetiser. Also as the poster advised we also bought two boxes of choc flakes packets for £10 and could pick from a range of flavour's.

    But totally worth it if you are into hot choclate or creamy coffee / chai etc

    Ah yes, the Ovaltine approach - been doing that for years!  This creates a drink that ends up smooth with a luxury taste; I would never go back to microwaving milk again!

    Received ours yesterday absolutely mint. Only thing noticeable was the instructions were reprinted poorly. Be warned they use Evri for deliveries and they chucked ours over the back gate, luckily it survived undamaged!

    I got mine from here - it was brand new. Just be wary that I don't think you get the manufacturers to guarantee as it is not "New" and the seller's own guarantee is a tad ambiguous. But it seems like you're getting a new product for a decent discount

    As for the machine - if you drink hot chocolate regularly, it's a must. You can use cheap chocolate for everyday drinks - Oveltene Lite + Double Cream + Water is lush.

    I bought one from this eBayer over the weekend. It was in perfect unused condition aside from the corner of the box being a bit squished. I was able to register the warranty fine. Even got a code for free biscuits
