Quidco is now unusable.

Posted 20th Dec 2022
I advise everyone to switch over to TCB. Over black Friday very few purchases have tracked, it's unacceptable. I also have successful claims from 2019(!!).

I don't know if this is everyone else's experience. I used to use them solely but I feel like giving up.

Ain't that the truth. Left it years ago and never looked back.

It's hit and miss but so is Topcashback in my experience

    I agree 100%, I'm done with Quidco.

I have said that before but was tempted with their Asda £20 cashback last summer so gave that a go, tracked but declined, no specific reason given as per usual, just the usual blurb. I'm beginning to think that they are just underhand as there is no transparency or way of finding out if the retailer did actually pay out but the middleman Quidco are just pocketing it, given that this is an ongoing issue for so many!

All well and good giving out the socialsupport@quidco.com email address but they only repeat the same old, same old and don't actually follow up with retailers. As the OP says, Quidco are now unusable.

I very rarely have untracked TCB problems, but when a ticket is raised they have always then paid out.

As always depends on the retailer....no issues with most retailers, but has issues with Lego, marks and spencer, and ocado for me.
Whats annoying is its something to do with Quidco and the retailer, you could try topcashback for the same retailers and it works fine, but they will still blame you, your computer, your browser etc. It's obvious we have no issues blocking it, its not you...but they won't look into it because for some reason it will work for some other people.. Definitely. In my experience with quidco, they are far less reliable with tracking than TCB (as an engineer I'm thinking bad backend services, Kafka implementation etc... Like their IT sucks for sure)

The payout takes *much, much longer* and sometimes doesn't happen at all even if you claim and it's approved. (edited)

i gave the £10 bonus a go today. Didn't track. Topcashback always tracks. Someone said enable all cookies and use chrome. Tried another order....didn't track again. Will cancel the orders most likely.

Same didn't track using the £10 bonus offer yesterday I always try and avoid Quidco but couldn't resist the offer yesterday but looks like it won't track, never have any issues with top cashback

I switched to TCB a couple of years ago, when Quidco changed the premium to £1 per month and a few purchases failed to track.

Bar two issues in the second half of this year, Currys both times, I've never had such a problem with TCB. I'd be inclined to lay the blame entirely on Currys too. Nothing Quidco has offered has enticed me back, though I was tempted to buy Elden Ring from CD Keys due to the £10 bonus.

Mine all tracking as usual - no problems on my end

For me it's the sheer length of time it takes for a payout (on both Quidco and TCB).

I've had some dubious declines, usually on higher value transactions like hotels.com where I've followed all guidance.

In my experience both Quidco and TCB seem to go through bad patches. Currently Quidco is working fine for me and all bonuses are tracking, but I have three outstanding claims with TCB for purchases not tracking. I use the same dedicated browser with cleared cookies for both sites.

I was supposed to have £123 from a Virgin holiday I paid through quidco. Took ages but they have said money is on its way but this was back in October!!

I'm having trouble with both of them. I always clear cookies first if using a web browser. Whether cashback tracks on either seems to be down to random luck. I've even had the app on my tablet fail to track? That's why I always use a voucher where possible over cashback even if it's for a lesser amount.

    Never had any issues

I personally never had any issues however...... I always find what I want to buy first and then use a completely separate browser for my Quidco purchase.

Never had any issues with tracking when using a separate browser specifically for Quidco/TCB, with all its browser privacy features disabled, no add-ons/extensions installed, no ad-blocker, and cookies enabled.

If you try to make purchases in your main web browser, where you surely have at least one of those features turned on (otherwise you're at risk on the internet in general and need to turn them on!), then it won't track, of course.

Notably browsers like Firefox, Edge and Brave have their privacy features turned ON BY DEFAULT these days, so you have to have specifically turned them off in the settings.

Its working fine for me. Bought a few things recently and they track fine. Just had a £120 payout from a purchase in August.

The one time I tried TCB I couldn't withdraw they seemed to keep everything as a fee.

I have had the same problem on TCB as they have not tracked/paid me for MOST of my purchases this YEAR.
