Why would you want to pay £1.57 to drive around 12miles when you can drive around 90miles for the same price in EV.
    Alex_H's avatar
Because I don't own an EV?

Just wish they have a petrol station in Farnborough, Reading is the nearest, but always massive queue
    carlic's avatar
Reading is constantly busy even without the fuel station- it’s got much worse though over the last couple of weeks I find.

This is the main reason I have a Costco membership

Mines paid for itself already with the fuel prices!

Old news been that price 2 weeks

Maybe you should've posted it then......

I'm in Sheffield and just got my membership, does anyone know how busy it would be at about 8.30pm?

Queued for 45 mins in morning at Sheff Costco same waiting late evening before it closes. Absolutely Ridiculous queues there , I go Sainsburys now instead
  6. criadodemaria's avatar
Queue is long enough already before being posted on here!
    JHD007's avatar
Yea how selfish of the op letting others know they can save money on fuel if they pay membership fees and Sheffield is there local warehouse

They need a new entrance so the EV drivers amongst us can actually get into the store without having to queue with the people waiting for fuel.
    rigby44's avatar
    Chester has two queues

Great price however, I'd rather day £1.42 and not queue for 30 mins! Getting into Costco at the moment is crazy (BTW, I did vote hot because its a great price) (edited)

It’s just the time you go, try to avoid peak times if you can. I never struggle to find a pump.

I got some for the same price last week, but then I went past the local Tesco in Widnes, and it was a penny more.. clubcard points and a lot less queuing.

Wish Cardiff Costco had a fuel station 🙃

    Keep it coming costco!!

I’ve cancelled my membership at Sheffield Costco because of the long queues to enter the carpark.
    ASHTON955's avatar
100% agree, the whole road outside is blocked every time I go, takes half hour to get to into the car park. They need more space for cars filling up

Same price in little garage in Aberaeron, on welsh coast £1.379. In fact nearly all garages here max 139.9, Tesco in cardigan 138.9
Absolute rip off in cities at the moment, Morrisons and Asda completely given up competing, now they are effectively financed by American private equity companies. Some garages making £13+ on a average tank.
    DominicPTS's avatar
Not so. The ASDA in Shrewsbury is 160.7 diesel and 140.7 petrol. Morrison's and Sainsburys have now also fallen into line

Thank you this is my regular

Don’t get why Costco have different fuel prices at each of there locations
    FlyingLlama's avatar
Much like everywhere does I would imagine - local competition, area and price they paid.
  16. Jmc0812's avatar
Do you need a Costco card to buy fuel there?

    Yes

Was £1.35 for unleaded in Chester Costco today

Prices are getting better, albeit very slowly. Heat, OP!

I was pleased to get diesel at 155.9p/l at Essar (ex Texaco) at Grindley Brook, Whitchurch (A41) yesterday. I realise it's not much help to you in Sheffield, but might be of interest to others. I think petrol was 139.9 .

(I didn't get a photo of the prices, but it's a fuel station mentioned on this site in the past.)

I’ve got supermarkets near me charging this sort of price ……
    sasuke0's avatar
    What supermarket lol?
  21. barylkaq's avatar
    How long is the queue?
    AndrewWaddin-33961.57250's avatar
I normally use google maps before going to see the traffic conditions. It can be bad but it does move. It’s like being sat in road works sometimes just make sure the journey is not just for fuel.
  22. thisismark's avatar
    Same price in Bristol
  23. Chelsea4Ever's avatar
I used to get the fuel in Liverpool but now in Derby as I found the diesel is a lot cheaper.

    1.50 @ Tesco in Sheffield

    Spittal Hill or Abbeydale Road?
  25. Jamie_Pinner's avatar
Top tip. Get there before 10am latest. Costco opens for most people at 10am. From then onwards it's big queues all day. Get there at 7am and it's dead.
  26. delvey1987's avatar
    Cheaper at Oldham

Are the pumps open to anyone with a card at 7:00 am or is it selected accounts only like in store - “you can only come in from 11:00 with your card”
