    Nobody when I was young wanted a pair of Puma. They got them because their parents couldn't afford Nike, Adidas or Reebok.

    Same with Gola. They're nice trainers, but they seem to have had a proper image turnaround like Skoda.

    Puma, particularly Puma Suede, were a huge part of hip hop and b-boy culture in the 70s and 80s. Run DMC might have rapped about "My Addidas" but most people I knew were sporting Puma, particularly after seeing them heavily featured in Beat Street.
