Is this or the 570 better?

Get whichever is cheaper. If you're not too bothered about sequential speeds then this Kioxia can work great as either an OS or game drive.
Apart from the Kioxia having dedicated DRAM and the WD using HMB, the Kioxia Exceria uses Kioxia 96 layer TLC NAND and the WD SN570 uses Kioxia 112 layer TLC NAND, overall they'll both perform about the same.

I'm not an expert like the others but according to this website WD SN570 IS BETTER THAN Kioxia Exceria !!!

It's faster but it doesn't have DRAM.
Kioxia for me all day long!

Which one is better for tesla dashcam storage?
    bbdom's avatar
If you're talking a Model 3 or similar, a high endurance USB flash drive as these won't go in a Tesla, they are for PCs.

Does anyone know if this would be suitable if I’m going to put it into a USB3.2 enclosure for not particularly demanding usage? I’ve gone for 256gb SSD in a Mac mini, and want to expand it’s storage. I figure the USB is going to be the bottleneck before this is? Thanks in advance.

Yes it will be suitable for a USB enclosure.
I recently bought the Orico enclosure posted on here for just over £8 and it would fit fine.
If connecting to USB A socket, then you would be restricted to speeds of around 450-500.
This what I've found connecting to a PC running Windows 10.

Looks a bargain, I'm near out of space. Can anyone confirm for me that this will fit in my motherboard: amazon.co.uk/Aor…2BV

Why are 2tb prices just stuck, need 2tb
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
    You answered your own question.
Many people want 2TB now, so why reduce prices when the demand is so high?
The odd 2TB deal does pop up now and then though, just keep your eyes on the deals. (edited)

Using this in a Ugreen usb enclosure to edit videos off of. Excellent drive.

Why am I reading this is better than WD 1TB even though slower speeds?

What am I unaware of ?
    Jetaylor's avatar
Haven’t compared them but headline speed isn’t everything. Sustained speeds, random read write, endurance and whether it has cache or not are all big factors.

Great price for a drive that has DRAM.

Great price for a 1Tb NVMe from a good company (Part of Toshiba).
I wish 2Tb NVMe's were coming down in price too!

    How long is the warranty
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
    3yrs.
1st year you can go via Amazon, 2nd/3rd years submit the RMA with Kioxia.

That said, these drives are VERY reliable, so the chance of yours failing within (and long past) the warranty is unlikely. (edited)
