I picked this up Yesterday and it arrived next day via DPD

    1) The phone is unlocked out of the box
    2) it comes with a case and a charger
    3) Cancel the automated payments in your 'My Vodafone' online account in the billing section this will stop any further payments being taken

Tempted to shift back to moto g after deserting for a xioami redmi 9 note pro. Anyone convince me it's a bad move?

Switch! Motorola is better. Motorola always comes with raw and pure android, with little/zero bloatware. Also I tend to stay away from Ch1nese brand phones like Xiaomi, Oppo etc due to the alleged espionage concerns and illegal backdoor root access in those devices.

Just bought one thanks. But if you're planning on just using the phone and ditching the £10 PAYG SIM, it states the following in the contract:

"The day a Big Value Bundle is added to your account will count as day 1. It'll run out at 11.59pm UK time on day 30.
Your Big Value Bundle will renew automatically every 30 days as long as you have enough credit by the time it runs out.
We'll try and take payment on day 30. For your bundle to renew automatically, you'll need to have enough credit to renew
whatever type of Big Value Bundle you've opted in to."

So my reading of that is they will charge you another £10 every month until you tell them to stop. Don't know if it can be changed in the online account settings we had to set up.

Has anyone had one more than 30 days who can confirm the position?

    Hey

I just bought the deal. - Go into your Vodafone account > billing and there is a section that has the details of the plan you have – it allows you to cancel auto-renewal – so the plan will just expire after 30 days.

This is a lot of bang for your buck at £129. Brand new phone from a reputable seller. Only released in June 2022, excellent stock android experience with no bloatware, will get Android 13 at some point, good battery, etc. Was kicking myself I didn't push the button when this was available at the end of last year. Ordered for the folks and being delivered on Tuesday.

    Thank you
just ordered on behalf of a friend's elderly mum. She was using a Samsung J3 from 2017 so this should be a huge step up!
In size too, but I had pre-warned her & she said it should be ok as she's a two-handed user.
The pure Android OS (near enough?) was another factor that swayed me to this compared to a Xiaomi / Honor, which had better specs for not a lot extra.

bought it but they sent me the wrong plug for the charger. It does NOT fit into a standard UK socket. Customer support sent me to the nearest Vodafone shop to fix the problem. I'll go see them tomorrow. The phone itself seems fine though. I had to borrow a USB type C charger from someone else to charge it. It seems to take a few hours to reach a full charge. Something to be aware of. 49682103-Jftok.jpg (edited)

Only 64gb/4gb memory. Surely won't be on par with Redmi Pros with 128gb/6gb memory?

I purchased this phone when this offer was up a few months ago. I am so happy with my phone. I'm not a heavy phone user. Just messages/calls/pics here and there/ and a bit of social media and it's amazing. Amazing battery and great set of speakers when I do happen to watch/listen to short clips on YouTube/music player. Really happy with what seems to be a solid phone

Can you get any cashback for this anywhere? Feels like you should be able to, but Quidco and TCB seems to either only offer it on a monthly contract or just a sim - not purchasing a handset?

Heard this struggles to multitask with only the 4gb of ram, apparently android 12 has a recommended minimum of 6gb ram. Anyone know if this is true?

Struggling to buy this - won't let me order via the website, called 191 and they "aren't setup to sell handsets" and neither are the Webchat people - trying to do it via Twitter now!

Yes, i could go in-store and buy one but why should I have to? :-)

Nope - 191 still not selling me a handset. Said I need to take out a minimum three month contract.

    worried about the 64gb thing.

if i add a 64gb card will it perform the same as a 128gb phone or does it simply see it as external storage?
    kobirulali's avatar
    kobirulali
    In a short answer no.

Some manufacturers allows you to format the micro SD card to act as internal, even then I wouldn't recommend it as firstly to have to find a decent speed card and then there's the chance over time it'll get corrupted meaning you have to reset your phone. It's probably why Samsung etc has removed SD card.

You can definitely use it as external storage, so it can be used for storing music etc. If you take a lot of photos and the camera app allows you to use it as storage it's worth considering but then I wouldn't as the app would be slow if you simultaneously take photos.

How is the phone from people who bought it? Bought an Pixel 5 from ebay other weeks but the battery is around %65, overall is a fast phone but don’t want to spend more to change battery on it!

I will use the phone daily heavy usage, phone calls, sat nav and youtube videos for kids and spotify
