Boiler replacement

Hi all.
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask. But I need to replace my combi boiler.
Trying to get quotes together. So far boxt are leading the way. Anyone used them? How did you find the experience? Any problems?
Also currently have a offer of a nest learning stat included. What are peoples views on these. ( I have no smart stat currently)
Thanks in advance

I know your asking about BOXT but I went through British gas but it was a full replacement from oldstyle boiler to combi - they did interest free repayments (you get credit checked) loan by third party - found them really good and they give you a years homecare and take away the rubbish as well (edited)

Buy your own boiler with a good guarantee and ask for local gas safe registered engineers to price up installation.

Boiler £1200 + £400 fitting including system clean but all depends on which boiler you want and output based on house size etc

Hi. Thought about that but wasn’t sure if anyone would just “fit the boiler”. As you say the boiler I’ve been quoted for is half the overall cost.

Boxt were fine for me, and there was a topcashback available at the time too. Or contact someone who's used them.

Thank you. I’ll look at cash back.

Not used Boxt but do have a Nest thermostat. Not sure how overblown their promises of saving 10-12%, but when I had mine installed there was a visible drop in my energy usage, and I've now saved far more money than I spent on the thermostat.

I recently used Warmzilla to convert my old system boilder with hot/cold water tank to a new combi boiler. They were the cheapest by far. There was also cashback available plus if you have an Amex card, you may have an offer for 10% cashback at Warmzilla. I've got the offer on one card. All in all, the boiler (Greenstar 4000 30KW) and installation cost me around £2700 taking into account the cashback which I've already received.

They use local installers and the guy that did mine was very good.

First question is, why do you NEED to replace the boiler?

Secondly if its a combination you already have its an easy swap, couple of hours for a local engineer to swap. If they're not cheaper than BOXT then something isn't right with the world.

Hi. Thank you. I need a new boiler as mine is breaking down and spent almost as much as it cost in repairs so far and error messages keep appearing. Engineers have said it maybe time to replace. Don’t want too it’s a needs. Have 2 very young children and it’s not reliable. I’ve requested quotes from 2 local companies too.

BOXT Life looks decent idea and price. But you never own the Bolier even after 10 years!

Recently used BOXT, great experience with them - highly recommend them. They are part owned by Worster Bosch that's why they can source these boilers cheaper than anyone else.

In fact they beat the best quote in the market by £50 I guess. Cheapest quote was from boiler central who seemed a bit dodgy in that they offered a price but when you call them they tell you the boiler is out of stock and a better one is available.

The cheapest solution could be to look for a local boiler engineer depending on where you are and which boiler you are looking for. I don't think BOXT could be beaten on price for WB though.

Thank you. Think that’s what I’m finding so far. Out of interest what boiler did you have fitted by them?
