Free parental control app for Android

Hi. I’m after decent parental control app for android that is completely free. I just want to block some apps, websites and YouTube content that my child can accidentally come across at the moment. I’ve done some searches on google but most of the sites are sponsored so not really objective about the product. I’m not overly familiar with Android OS so not sure whether there’s already something built in. He has Redmi Note 10 Pro.

The only drawback of FamyLink, which is otherwise excellent, is that full YouTube is only available to age 13+

I know that's their policy, and it's supposed to be YouTube Kids for younger, but it's tricky to enforce when everyone else is using YouTube (regardless of age). Ideally, Google would give parents the choice (as they now get in the US). (edited)

We used to use YouTube kids. You can set time limits and lock down the content to specific channels (and possibly even specific videos) worked well for us.

We tried that too but then he’s missing a lot of his Pokemon channels for some reason. Perhaps owners haven’t set them up correctly for age restrictions.
