ThinkPad X1 Fold - £599.99 (With Code) @ Lenovo

I have this and paid a lot lot more when it was released. It has taken quite a few patches over the last year or so to get it to work reliably, with various issues like screen orientation or bluetooth/wifi going missing. It's actually a very well made device and should really be thought of as a glorified netbook than a laptop, given the relatively weak CPU. Battery life is not fantastic either. But that screen is brilliant and its great to have basically a full screen laptop that folds down to the size and thickness of a large paperback. I use it for travel, mostly. At this price, I'd say go for it, if you're sitting on the fence.

Had worse ever cuatomer service experience with Lenovo. It's been nearly 2 months I returned a laptop and still waiting for refund. Just one reply to all emails and phone calls that case has been forwarded to internal team on priority basis and I will get refund withing 2-3 days but 2 months have gone and no luck

Great price. Would be harder to say no if the RAM is not as limited or if it is replacable.

Lenovo is extremely bad for after sales. They sell things and never bother providing firmware, bios updates and completely ignore and forget the customers.

Once again another deal for a laptop made by Lenovo but sold by a reseller under cover...and accepted by HotUKDeals even though they are notoriously bad for any warranty issues and getting refunded when (and it will)go wrong!!

I've clean installed Windows 11 on mine and can't believe the difference, under Windows 10 the performance was extremely erratic and inconsistent but I've not seen any of those issues with Windows 11 under which it's been running smoothly. It works fine with a Lenovo USB-C dock seeing the USB stick, keyboard and mouse outwith Windows to get it set up with Windows 11.

What is the fan fault some people are having? At low fan speeds the fan sounds a bit like a hard drive chattering away although not sure if that's normal.

So far I'm impressed with it and it's more usable than expected with the only issue I'm having is the apostrophe key being mapped to an Fn key whereas the colon and semicolon symbols are on their own key. I've had a hunt around but not found any good solution to this so I'm hoping someone else has had this problem and found a way around it? (edited)

The processor in this is quite week, a core i5 1135g7 is about twice as fast in single treaded performance and three times as fast in multi core performance. The i5 1135g7 gpu also has over three times the performance of this.

I bought one of these last year for £750. I wanted so much to like it but the software/drivers were terrible. I went through 3 of them and ultimately ended up selling it on ebay. Windows 11 would just crash at random despite it being officially supported and it pestering you to upgrade.

...and yet, I've just ordered again Maybe things have improved...

Gen 2 will be interesting when it is reduced in the future.

If they accept the trade in PC for a 20% refund and 5% Quidco this will net down to around £450 so that's a pretty good deal?

Anyone had theirs dispatched yet, they seem to have debited payment immediately without confirming items dispatched.

Mine doesn't seem to want to power on. Or maybe it is powering on but the screen isn't.

Should have just a glowing LED next to port if charging. Don't attempt to disassemble, just send back for a replacement!
