I have this and paid a lot lot more when it was released. It has taken quite a few patches over the last year or so to get it to work reliably, with various issues like screen orientation or bluetooth/wifi going missing. It's actually a very well made device and should really be thought of as a glorified netbook than a laptop, given the relatively weak CPU. Battery life is not fantastic either. But that screen is brilliant and its great to have basically a full screen laptop that folds down to the size and thickness of a large paperback. I use it for travel, mostly. At this price, I'd say go for it, if you're sitting on the fence.

sorted by- Yeah I've just bought at this price and will be trading in an old Wyse desktop. I bought this for travel too. All the complaints about the CPU performance and memory miss the point. This is small, fits in a big pocket and is the perfect travel companion for media consumption and a bit of remote work.
- Had worse ever cuatomer service experience with Lenovo. It's been nearly 2 months I returned a laptop and still waiting for refund. Just one reply to all emails and phone calls that case has been forwarded to internal team on priority basis and I will get refund withing 2-3 days but 2 months have gone and no luckHold on now. Under what circumstances was the laptop returned? There may be a good reason they've not done anything with the refund.
- Great price. Would be harder to say no if the RAM is not as limited or if it is replacable. The i5-L16G7 processor in this only supports a maximum of 8gb ram so no chance of getting more ram in this.
- Lenovo is extremely bad for after sales. They sell things and never bother providing firmware, bios updates and completely ignore and forget the customers.Maybe for cheap Android tablets but not true for ThinkPads, which is their business line of laptops.
This model is fully supported with firmware/BIOS updates until at least 01 April 2027, check the models tab here
psref.lenovo.com/Pro…n_1 - Once again another deal for a laptop made by Lenovo but sold by a reseller under cover...and accepted by HotUKDeals even though they are notoriously bad for any warranty issues and getting refunded when (and it will)go wrong!!
Digital River UK Ltd is the authorised reseller and merchant of the products and services offered within this store.
Just search and weep at the negative stories of these con merchants pretending to be LenovoYes all Lenovo sales/after sales is Digital River. I used them to return a Lenovo notebook a couople of years ago. In fairness they were fine but I could have been lucky. - Hot because it’s a very interesting and unique device that cost a fortune when it came out - but as others said, be careful of the absolutely terrible CPU performance and lack of support. You are completely paying for the form factor and cool design here.
- I've clean installed Windows 11 on mine and can't believe the difference, under Windows 10 the performance was extremely erratic and inconsistent but I've not seen any of those issues with Windows 11 under which it's been running smoothly. It works fine with a Lenovo USB-C dock seeing the USB stick, keyboard and mouse outwith Windows to get it set up with Windows 11.
What is the fan fault some people are having? At low fan speeds the fan sounds a bit like a hard drive chattering away although not sure if that's normal.
So far I'm impressed with it and it's more usable than expected with the only issue I'm having is the apostrophe key being mapped to an Fn key whereas the colon and semicolon symbols are on their own key. I've had a hunt around but not found any good solution to this so I'm hoping someone else has had this problem and found a way around it? (edited) - This review should sober you up if you are just back from the pub and tempted to buy this:
notebookcheck.net/Len…tmlIt looks really weird. I appreciate esoteric hardware though, I can't be buying 8gb windows machines in 2023 though. - The processor in this is quite week, a core i5 1135g7 is about twice as fast in single treaded performance and three times as fast in multi core performance. The i5 1135g7 gpu also has over three times the performance of this.Yes it’s a terrible CPU - there’s a reason only this device and the Galaxy Book S had it. Feels sluggish in use, like an older Atom netbook.
- Mine just arrived Just sorting out the trade in now..... (edited)So has mine. And it's broken already. Fan Error. Sigh.
- I bought one of these last year for £750. I wanted so much to like it but the software/drivers were terrible. I went through 3 of them and ultimately ended up selling it on ebay. Windows 11 would just crash at random despite it being officially supported and it pestering you to upgrade.
...and yet, I've just ordered again Maybe things have improved...I understand that a clean install of Windows 11, removing the recovery partitions etc. transforms this. Windows 11 has proper support for little.BIG architecture. - IMO this laptop is very over priced. The specs really aren’t that good to justify the cost. Just to throw it out there.
- Gen 2 will be interesting when it is reduced in the future.you'll be waiting 2 years though
- Well I had my claim approved and sent my Desktop in with the supplied barcodes, that was around 10 days ago but not heard anything back yet.......
- Presumably not too big for a train or plane.....
- Really dont need this but damn it's soooo cool !! (memo to self stop browsing UKHD as i can resist everything bar temptation)
- Wow, great price but you gotta wonder about durability...
HEATY!And battery - Shame it's not the 5G version (20RL000VUK)
- Anyone used Autocad on this? Or any 3d modelling?I wouldn't,
- Should be 16gb at the original price.processor doesn't support 16GB
- Awful CPU, cold
- At this price point. Extremely disappointed with the soldiered ram or restricted 8GB and the CPU. £600 is a lot of wonga for a machine that isn’t exactly future proof but if you got a small workload then it could work. But for £600 I would argue you could save a few bob if you got such a tight minimal workload to begin with.
- You would have to really really really really really really really need to love the style of this thing to want it at this price. You'd also have to be insane as well.
- Prefer this size over the 16-inch gen 2 one coming out soon. If the battery and performance were slightly better, I'd have bitten.
- This has had a LOT of patches which makes it much more usable than it was when it was launched. Battery life is ok, processor runs ok now after the patching came through.
Screen is great, and as the other person says, it's very durable. Its a bit heavy for its size, but looks great and is a headturner.
I'm using Windows 11 on it and it's fine. 22h2 hasn't been released for it yet though which is a bit annoying, but it's otherwise fine.
Worth £600, possibly if you want interesting tech. If I didnt have one I would bite at this price.
Ps, the pen is ok for note taking, but not for artist drawing. (edited) - The CPU is basically a single modern core (Ice Lake type), but at very low clock, so it performs much worse, strapped together with 4 Atom cores, which perform miserably.
No idea why Lenovo would put that in their reputable ThinkPad X1 lines. I mean, I am sure it will have great build quality for £600, but that CPU and 8 GB Ram is only for grandma computers, and not forward-looking ones. Just get your gran an X280 for less than half. It will last much longer as it will have a much faster CPU. - the awful reviews of digital river totally put me off ordering this
not that anyone caresDon't put yourself down! Your opinion is just as valid as anyone else's. I agree about digital river, I returned an item several months ago direct to digital river, got refunded, and am still getting daily emails and texts from FedEx about missing my parcel collection slot. It's driving me mad. - If they accept the trade in PC for a 20% refund and 5% Quidco this will net down to around £450 so that's a pretty good deal?Quidco doesn't apply to the outlet store. And it's 20% off the pre-VAT price, so £500 in the end
- Can’t believe there’re still so many brand new ones hanging around(lol)
- Anyone had theirs dispatched yet, they seem to have debited payment immediately without confirming items dispatched.
“During checkout, we authorised your card for the total order amount. This is not the actual charge. You will only be charged for the items on your order once they ship or are electronically delivered.” (edited)Not yet, just a confirmation that the order has been received - Interestingly there is no order on "My account" and it's now price has gone up to £996.65! hopefully it will ship fingers crossed ! (edited)The My Account function is hopeless. It doesn't show my order from 2021 either.
- Anyone had theirs dispatched?Still waiting, toying with idea of cancelling TBH
- Mine doesn't seem to want to power on. Or maybe it is powering on but the screen isn't.It could be the cold weather (when it was it transit) affecting the board and CPU
- Should have just a glowing LED next to port if charging. Don't attempt to disassemble, just send back for a replacement! Thanks, yeah the LED is on. So is the one on the power button. It seems like the screen is dead for some reason. I'll get it returned...
- Mine arrived, nice innovation, took a while too get started
- Does anyone's recent delivery have a SIM slot?
- This thing runs great on Windows 11 (clean install).
Wish my 5G version had a phone dailer (like the Samsung S8 ultra 5G)... apart from that it's a fantastic multimedia device - Top tip for anyone struggling to get this on to Windows 11....do a factory reset (Windows 10) and it'll download Windows 11 via Windows update during the setup stage.
Makes a huge difference in usability 💯 - I think that's a different problem, as I understand it the problem under Windows 10 is issues with the scheduler and the big little design of the processor which is crucial when the 'little' processors have very low performance. Windows 11 has improvements to its scheduler to better work with this type of processor design.
When the system was struggling, task manager showed all cores at 100% and their maximum performance setting but I assume the wrong tasks were running on the wrong cores. - Trade-in rejected as it's only for registered businesses. (edited)right I didn't know. Thanks for sharing
