I just got my 3 extra months approved. The claim took 27 minutes to be approved.

    I did this:

    - Go to m365promo.microsoft.com
    - Accept Ts&Cs and click Claim
    - Enter 25 digit M365 product code and click Continue
    - Fill in the details (for language I chose 'English only', for retailer I chose Argos, and for qualifying device I chose 'Subscription Software (min subscription term of 1 year)')

For proof of purchase I just uploaded this screenshot of my Argos confirmation (but without the personal details blocked out).

it asks for a second invoice for a "Qualifying Device" - what did you do about that?

I've got a bunch of these McAfee codes left over from last time. Does anyone but them if I try sell them?
    Flyer01's avatar
Selling digital codes is prohibited on eBay. That is not to say it doesn't happen. I have successfully sold codes (Uber or Just Eats, I can't remember) on Ebay but anyone doing so must accept that they are completely at risk of a buyer using their code then stating the cover was already scratched away and the code didn't work. Ebay, because the selling of codes is prohibited, will not be interested. I actually couldn't find one of my vouchers after I had sold it and had to cancel the sale, but the buyer was very understanding so I gave them a discount when I eventually found it. You could try and state a 'minimum feedback of.....', check out the buyer's feedback and if you are still feeling warm and snuggly send them the code. You can do this over a message directly, by snail mail or send recorded delivery, the last option puts a bit more psychological pressure on any potential scammers.

Remember, there are a lot more good people than there are bad people on Ebay, but as always, be careful. You could always check previous posts/history of fellow hotukdealers and sell directly, if this is still allowed on here.

A tip for anyone that has a Microsoft 365 subscription - if you goto manage subscription and click on cancel you will most probably get 3 months extended for free as it’s something that MS have been doing to help with rising costs . I’ve done it twice now in last year
    naski666's avatar
Does cancel only stop automatic renewal? I don't think I have that setup, but will investigate. Thanks

Just wanted to confirm, managed to claim extra 3 months. Claim was approved within 30 minutes

What did you use for the image?
  5. noelflint's avatar
I think this may have been mentioned earlier in the thread, but I entered the code for the 12 months, submitted the details and got the additional three, and then turned off the auto billing and was then given another 2 months to not turn the auto billing off. Accepted, got the 2 months and then turned it off anyway. So 17 months for 39.99. My previous subscription ended a couple of weeks ago so I had just signed up for the 7.99 a month plan hoping something like this would come along!
    JP84's avatar
Could you repeat this for 5 subscriptions!?

Is this the best anti virus these deals come with?

Are there any other deals but with a different anti virus?

Isn't McAfee a resource hog and crap.
    SeamusO's avatar
I wouldn't wish McAfee on my worst enemy. I'm sure it's sponsored by hardware sellers to make machines run so slow people think they need a new one. Good price for 365 though.
  7. ian.walker's avatar
I wonder if the physical item is just an empty box (or a piece of card?)
    Chanchi32's avatar

yes i think so, better just to get the digital download
  8. t121anf's avatar
For anyone stacking I can confirm you can use the additional 3 months free promo more than once.

30 months for £90 doesn't feel that bad.
    sach1636's avatar
I can confirm this worked. I got 30 months for 2 different orders on same email.
  9. BMF073's avatar
Does it take 2 hours to get it via email?
    KarlBacon's avatar
It took 2h15m for mine to arrive.
  10. clur11's avatar
I’ve just put a code on my computer that lasts for 12 months. If I bought this offer now, would it still be valid this time next year to put on or do they run out? If that makes sense! Any help appreciated.
    leondas's avatar
You can stock up to 5 years of licences. So you can activate 5 pcs 1 year subs at the same time.
  11. PacoTiger's avatar
I found lifetime one payment, in amazon for £29. Don’t fall in subscriptions trap
    charlie12's avatar
For the hundredth time, this deal is not one-time Office, it’s a suite of services that doesn’t even have the word “Office” in its product name. (edited)

    digital download back in stock!
    NGRhodes's avatar
Got mine last night, thanks for the nudge.
  13. ciggybumly's avatar
    Do these stack?
    ciggybumly's avatar
Regarding ‘stacking’ yes it referred to buying multiple £44.99 cards and applying them all in one go to your account. Some deals can’t be stacked and you would have to wait for that initial 12months to be over before you can buy another code (if that makes sense). By that time the price could be much higher, so works out cheaper if you can buy multiples in one go and add at the same time (edited)
  14. Chewkungfu's avatar
FFS I paid £75 for a code in a box on Monday. Haven't redeemed it yet though, wonder if they'll refund it so I can get this. Heat.
    eddiewa's avatar
sucks mate, but these always come around 2-3 times a year - so i always wait and stack up, maybe for next time?
  15. cfrsh91's avatar
Anyone able to confirm the best way to get the claim for additional 3 months approved?
i.e. Do you have to physically collect or can you do the digital download? Do you upload the order confirmation or digital delivery? TIA
    Phil_E's avatar
I bought the digital download. I just screenshotted and uploaded the order confirmation email from Argos. Approved in 20 minutes.
  16. markwilliams363's avatar
Thanks OP just reserved physical copy (code in box) for collection with discount code applied.
    p3108's avatar
    Yes that works thanks .
  17. MrAlbert's avatar
Can anyone confirm if the 15 month thing actually works on these?

Iirc the AV has to appear as a separate item on the receipt to count? Not sure if they are fussy about "bundles"'
    piotroek's avatar
    Yes. Claim approved
  18. Miss_understood's avatar
How to get the 3 months extra please?
  19. Wibblefish's avatar
Can you stack these for 2 or more years?
    slipd's avatar
    Up to 5 in total
  20. Pilsbury12's avatar
I’m on 365 personal at the minute cos I’m Billy no mates lol. It runs out at start of next month. Can I put code in now and upgrade straight to the 6 user or have I got to wait until mine expires?
    fiendishlyclever's avatar
If you apply this, your existing subscription will be upgraded to family (MS do this with all their subscriptions)
  21. Rufu12's avatar
The discount code Argos sent me isn't working, anyone else having the same issue?
    piotroek's avatar
I had similar problem last year. As it appeared it was not Argos but Microsoft causing issues.
Advice from Microsoft support was to try it again from incognito browser window.
  22. rwc17's avatar
How easy is this to share? Microsoft article mentions people being part of "family group"?
    markwilliams363's avatar
Enter the email address of the people you want to share the subscription with via the Microsoft dashboard.
  23. leondas's avatar
Worth to mention that ALL student are eligible for FREE MS 365 sub with 1TB storage while they are studying! Few people know about that.
    rwc17's avatar
Is that the family version or personal? (edited)

I'm finding that you can still get the physical version from some stores. Does anyone know first-hand whether this will also stack and also whether the 3-month free and the cancellation hack will also work with the physical (albeit an empty box) codes?
    Chanchi32's avatar
    Author
yes i had. listed two versions in the post and the physical version has some stock availability for collection in certain areas

the digital version is now out of stock (edited)

Do we have to claim 3 free months after activation or before????
    martinspoon's avatar
I did it after activation and it went through fine
  27. Unsane's avatar
If I successfully claim the free 3-month extension from Microsoft, does the effective date begin immediately on approval or added to the 12-month sub only when I activate the purchased key?

In summary, I don't want to activate the subscription period just yet.
    KarlBacon's avatar
The extra 3 months comes as another 25-digit code that you redeem as normal and, according to the email, has "no expiration date and no service fee".
  28. zlain's avatar
For those who collected the item in store, the receipt is provided via email.

To claim the additional 3 months, you can then print the email to PDF and, at least for gmail, just print the first page, omitting the name, address and card details. My three month redeem code came a minute after submitting the claim in this way.
    jb2244's avatar
Thanks! I followed your instructions and my code came today (submitted Saturday, code received Monday).
  29. jakeblade's avatar
    Good deal.

But the headline price should be £44.99 in the description, not £39.99.
    ScorchingHot's avatar
    Why? I paid £39.99?
  30. mbl111's avatar
Digital download available again - thank you!

I had £15 in nectar points, a £10 voucher and the £5 code so ended up getting £30 off in total and got 2 Subs.

£60 quid for 31 months. (1 Free due to Auto Renew enabled and 2x 3 months free from the 2 claims). The 1 free month is only given on lapsed subs if my memory serves me correctly.
  33. punkindrublic's avatar
cheers op, managed to get a physical version
  34. deleted543435's avatar
What does 365 offer that office 2010 doesn't? I'm still using my office 2010 that I paid £8 for from CDkeys and the license is a one off fee. I genuinely don't understnad why anyone would "upgrade" to 365 and pay annually or monthly. Unless you want the cloud function which I would never use (Don't trust online storage). I'm seriously interested in knowing if there is anything worth paying almost £50 a year for?
    BMF073's avatar
Can you please send me the link as I unable to find ms office on there. It more looks like a games buying website?
  35. xybp9's avatar
Digital download version up again thanks OP
  36. eddiewa's avatar
Update, the additional 3 months offer works - just had mine approved for 2 x keys bought off Argos, so 30 months for the price of 24 (technically could be +2 months more but I'm not giving MSFT my card details lol)
    Jealy's avatar
Submitted mine this morning, also hoping for some juicy extra months!

What is the point of this when the online version is free for all to use?

I know there's more features on the desktop versions, but most ppl only need limited features.
