Just wondering if there’s anyone here able to give a second opinion.
Had a repair on one section of the roof and went up to take a look.
There’s a couple of battens resting on the lead flashing holding up some tiles.
The battens aren’t fixed in place and I can remove them.
They’re not coloured and look untreated.
I’m assuming this isn’t correct but was looking for other opinions before I kick up a fuss.

It won't slide out as the weight of the tile is holding in place.
As to the colour of the timber it just some manufacturer use different colour dyes. As long it's treated timber then no issues colour isn't always a way to identify it.
