I would think twice before buying any high value items from Amazon. I ordered a Samsung phone, but the box was empty... a few more horror stories about getting completely worthless products from Amazon (edited)

Here is link to my experience getting empty box for S22 phone.

Anyone got experience of the 12 month payments that seem interest free via Amazon?
    islandgal's avatar
There’s usually 2 payment options although available with selected products. Amazon payments, mostly pay over 5 months or over 12 months in equal amounts. I find 5 months occur most often. Credit through the unnamed bank is the other option. With Amazon payments, you don’t have credit check. I’ve used Amazon’s many times and a lifesaver when I can’t afford to pay upfront

Imagine paying £700 to get an entry lvl iphone 💀
    Change_Me's avatar
which is pretty much the same as the 2 year old 13 specs 💀

I currently have the iPhone 11. Battery health is now 77%.

I rarely take videos, but take pictures regularly. I only really use the phone for basic standard functions.

Is it a worthy upgrade to get the iPhone 14? I read that the camera is better on the 14 v 11.
    gallopingbanker's avatar
Just get a £69 official battery replacement from Apple and your 11 will be sweet for another 2 years. Then upgrade to 15/16
  8. sammy_zammy's avatar
I’m currently on an iPhone 8 with a pretty dead battery. What would you guys recommend? I have a few ideas:

-Replace battery on current phone, £69 then replace phone in a couple of years (kicking the can down the road basically!)
-Get refurbished iPhone 12, about £400 - nearly did this a while back on BackMarket but hesitated because of people’s complaints about non-Apple battery replacements.
    -Get this, £690

I’m not hugely bothered about the latest features (obviously anything is a big upgrade to this!) but would ideally like my phone to last 3+ years, in terms of receiving updates and also in terms of battery dying / it becoming slow. Refurbished is quite a bit cheaper for what I think is a similar phone, although it may not last as long.

If anyone could help that would be amazing! (edited)

Id get a refurbed iPhone 13 Pro - the 120hz screen is an absolute game changer and will be about the same cost as this deal.

Great price that, would of bought it, but this hasn't got the dynamic island thingy.

Never any deals for the pro max :/
  11. Nicolas's avatar
I have 12 and this is no upgrade
Works identical looks identical even similar batter life.

Got the google pixel 6a for 189 brand new and gives both my iPhones a run for their battery and os is so much better now on andriod than the laggy old Samsun UI days.
Don’t know why or how a year old model is 700 getting this much heat
    Fadd_Lo_Lun_Mera's avatar
How do you know it works identical and is not an upgrade when you don’t have this phone?
  12. arock's avatar
Does it come with Physical SIM card slot ?

    One physical, one esim

Iphone 15 just around the corner lads. Hold the line!
    euphoricmess's avatar
5 months away, but then it will only be 12 months till the 16. So wait it out for the 32

My 25% off code works on this with my Amazon business account, but I love my Mate 20 Pro so much I can't bring myself to switch.
    mick.thorpe's avatar
He isn’t wrong though 25% off a nearly 700 item is a lot more enticing than £25.
Seems a bit harsh to mute somebody just for pointing out you were wrong
  15. Shakattack's avatar
Is this phone really worth nearly £700? My huawei p30 has a bigger battery capacity and better mega pixel camera than this iphone. However the iphone has a better display. For comparison i bought my p30 for about £200 nearly 4 years ago.
    deleted2808586's avatar
No this phone isn't worth the price but people are willing to pay it so that's their choice I suppose
  16. Metalex's avatar
Top deal. Was looking at Apple refurbished on the 12 and 13 for my son, but this makes more sense.

    Thanks for posting! (edited)

    Thanks dad
  17. dominicdiep's avatar
As someone who is also an Apple fan, can't really understand why you'd get this when it's hardly different to the 13 specs wise and much cheaper than this
    tempt's avatar
13 is considered unlucky and most people don’t want anything to do with that. Apple should’ve gone straight from 12 to 14.
  18. dragonfury's avatar
May aswell wait for 15 now
    shariifi's avatar
Same here. Will keep my iPhone 11 cost me £150

I tries to post that deal at Silly O'Clock but the mods seem to have merged it ??. Hopefully people will see your post and the message will spread.

Those saying it’s barely an upgrade on 13, I’ve got X so show me where I can get a 13 for cheaper than this? Thanks
    hotspur82's avatar
Apple official refurbished store - the 13 is currently £639.
  21. Mrepg's avatar
It annoys me to vote this hot, but fact is, it is hot. Have some heat.

Any deals on the 13?? Not renewed tho
  24. dabear11's avatar
It's rare to see such discounts on current model iPhones. Meaning they don't sell well. The 14 is barely an upgrade over the 13. The 14 plus is way too expensive at a list price. The Pro models are far better (edited)
    djdave2929's avatar
    Good points.

Possible price match with Curry’s and they have an extra £50 off trade in deal with all iPhones….
  27. flipper118's avatar
I had loads of messing around last time i traded in my iphone with Amazon. The phone went missing but they said the onus was on me to sort it out, even though they sent me the returns label.

Took a few weeks and several chats and phone calls before they finally gave me my trade in value.
  28. Rozkurwiacz's avatar
Mrs have a birthday tomorrow, brilliant timing!
  29. djdave2929's avatar
I love how they just pull the offers - can't stand the greed of corporations.
    sammy_zammy's avatar
    That’s generally how discounts work…

Hows this realistically vs iphone 13?

    as spec look near identical?
    etcuk's avatar
Same phone, minuscule upgrade on camera, not that that’s a bad thing the 13 is a great phone (edited)
  35. adamnewlove's avatar
Typical that this deal drops hours after ordering a very good condition iPhone 14 Plus from Musicmagpie for £629.99. 🤞🏼 it is good condition
  36. gingerwarrior13's avatar
Oooh. I’ve got £192 on my Amazon account and my XR trade in value is £112 - so net £388. Cracking deal.

Do you get any free Apple TV subscription with this?
  37. AdrianWinstone's avatar
Cost wise wouldn’t you be better off with MSE deal 24m contract with Three. Total £845. 100gb 5g data? The only thing that’s putting me off is having a contract with Three as their customer service is pants!
