Update 1
Price drop from £59 to £58 04/05
Nespresso by Magimix machine takes just seconds to pre-heat, with automatic blend recognition you won't ever need to change the settings. The machine recognises which VertuoLine pod you're using and adjusts the brew to match. So you'll get a perfectly blended cup of coffee every time.

- Centrifusion technology spins the pod up to 7000 rotations a minute – it blends ground coffee with hot water to give you the perfect layer of foam
- The touch of one button is all it takes for the machine to whir to life, so you don't need to be a barista to make a great cup of coffee
- The movable water tank means you can easily place the machine wherever works best in your kitchen

As many have said these Vertuo machines are very expensive to run. You can only buy pods direct from Nespresso. They range in price from 48p to 99p each.

The original Nespresso pods can be made by 3rd parties and are available online and in supermarkets everywhere. Amazon for example has their own brand pods (Solimo) currently available at 10p each.

If your household drinks 4 coffees a day then it would cost you £554.80 extra per year using the cheapest Vertuo pods compared to the cheapest original style pods.

This explains why there are so many deals on Vertuo machines as Nespresso are subsidising the machine cost to reap the large rewards of this lucrative subscription model.

Do yourself a favour and find an original Nespresso machine. I bought mine from Amazon.de. You can get them delivered for under £70.

Alternatively get yourself a Lorespresso machine for £59. These are multifunctional and work with the original Nespresso pods or their own proprietary XL pods bringing you the best of both worlds. I wish I’d bought one of these tbh.

If cost of coffee is a concern to you then avoid Vertuo machines, however cheap the machine may appear.

The main draw for me with this machine is the fact that it does 230ml coffees, rather than the original machine which only does small espresso shots.

The XL pods you mention for Loresspro sounds intriguing however, do you happen to know what size drinks they make?

Only reason it is cheap as they have you over a barrel with pods. Until the trade mark on vertuo pods expires no one should be buying this machine and should always go with the original nespresso design

So can I just purchase the machine for £58 & still claim for the free 50 pods & frother without subscription or no ?thanks

To get the frother you need to subscribe but it appears to be a minimum of 1 month only. The 50 pods you can just claim after purchasing the machine

That is an absolute bargain, only problem is no 3rd party pods

I take the point about the cost, and if you have 4 people in a household drinking 2 or more coffees a day it's something you have to consider. but the difference in quality between Vertuo and original is immense. The Vertuo pods are almost as good as Costa coffee at a fifth of the price (and much better than Starbucks), so, as a one coffee a day drinker, I'm quite happy to pay 55p for a pod.

Is the difference that much? I have the original and consistently get better lattes from them than any Costa I’ve tried (many).

Does anyone know if Nespresso do a pod back scheme like Tassimo?

They do indeed. They use podback podback.org/

Starts off a bargain then you start ordering the pods direct from Nespresso. Becomes expensive real quick. From someone who has been there and done that do yourselves a favour and get a bean to cup.

Really depends on how many coffees you’re getting through and how many people are drinking them.

Thanks OP. Mine was £58 because it was £149 on the currys web site.

I've used one of these since lockdown and love it. Just placed an order last week for 170 pods, 2 Double Espresso Sets, Four Mug Sets, the Vertuo next, the Aeroccino 4 and the 6 month half price subscription for £98. You can always get great deals if you hold out for sales, I've bought and sold maybe 9 machines and ended up getting a whole bunch of pods, credit and actually make money selling the machines! It probably doesn't matter to you, but if you ordered for £79 from Nespresso that would have been the Vertuo Next, not the Vertuo Plus.

Just ordered this for £79 from Amazon 2 days ago and it's currently out for delivery :/ Wondering if the £20 difference is worth the hassle of returning and then having to go out and collect this.

    Great deal OP!

Anyone know what the process is for claiming the Aero 4? Haven’t bought the machine yet
    Jay_Ma's avatar
    Jay_Ma
You need to purchase this first then wait for this to be delivered and make a subscribe order with the company. Your first subscription order will be shipped out to you with Aero 4. So yes it’s a little bit hassle if you are not waiting that coffee capsule subscription. (edited)

Is it possible to get the frother just by spending £59, or is that an additional expense with the subscription?

I like your thinking but you should get the frother when you subscribe to Nespresso plus.

I'd avoid vertuo, we got a similar deal a few years ago which seemed great value until you realise you're locked into their expensive pods. We sold ours and bought a L'or machine that takes 3rd party pods and Nespresso pods

There is absolutely no way I would purchase anything from curry’s, there after sales service is pathetic, unfortunately being the largest retailer of electronic/electrical goods they are virtually a law unto themselves and just don’t care after taking your money

Hi, how long it took in your experience for Nespresso to validate your promotion and to confirm they will send you the 50 capsules & frother kit? I've submitted the request on Tuesday, still waiting for confirmation.

Ironically yesterday was the 7th working day since I registered. Any day now I guess.
