It’s not point on every shop/item like it used to be.

I use the Trolley app (kept going now with funding from Martin Lewis’ site) to find out prices in supermarkets for the items I usually buy every week. As I have to travel 15 miles to reach Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and Morrison, I go round them all in the one direction to minimise fuel waste in busy traffic. Tesco and Morrison are our cheapest for fuel too so if I need any, then it makes sense to fill up when doing the weekly shop.
Morrison is the most expensive of the four.

Does this mean I get my points back, that were on my card, when they closed this down.
    Holte_ender's avatar
Just checked. No - I was 200 points off a fiver too

Is this not a free fiver and free tenner? (edited)

    No, it's 50p and £1
    5,000 gets you a £5 voucher

I didn't get this offer, just a load of crap offers of more points on things I don't buy. The usual from Morrisons....
    madflower's avatar
I didn't get it either. However, once I followed the "get deal" and signed in, it all appeared in the app with a load of extra points offers.

Gave up on Morrisons when they binned the scheme last time and I'm now quite happily shopping elsewhere and saving money on lower prices. Won't be going back - no point...

Same here our store has poor choice

I have a Morrisons 5-minute walk away and only go there if someone pops in unexpectedly as most of their stuff is too expensive. I do stock up on some things in there like their savers gravy and ketchup when cheap as they are good value.

    Reinventing the wheel eh?

They took all this away for no particular reason other than they could a few years back....

Amazing. 5 points per litre of fuel.
So I have to spend £1,460 to get £5 off 🙃
    No incentive at all.
    DealHub's avatar
This is what I thought no incentive whatsoever, same as the BP loyalty scheme, useless.

Have we just wound back a few years? Why is this back and if so are my points they stole at the end of the last scheme going to be replaced. (edited)
    andrewworrall1's avatar
Probably so they can say they're helping during the cost of living crisis or something. Personally I feel Morrisons has changed their loyalty scheme too many times now. It wouldn't surprise me if it's changed again or even scrapped soon enough (edited)

Morrisons seems to be more expensive than other places at the moment. heard its a change of hands with their owners.
    howbord's avatar
Agree, you have to be very careful shopping there but i do prefer a lot of their fresh stuff to other shops so tend to stick to that and any decent offers they may have running whilst getting my main shop elsewhere.
  13. sjmleicester's avatar
They should never have done away with it in the first place

Think they are realising given their high prices sales are dropping through the floor so one or two better offers coming through
  14. Pokora's avatar
    I hate this "exclusives" Prices.
  15. ianstanley's avatar
only shop there as its the last supermarket that has a butchers counter and fresh fish counter, otherwise agree they seem to be more expensive
    TristanDeCoonha's avatar
Waitrose has butchers and fresh fish, and is no more expensive than others, with 20% days which also apply to the discounted items
  16. TristanDeCoonha's avatar
Even better if this ties in with the £35 spend for discounted fuel

Started shopping at Asda again. Morrisons choice was poor and prices high. Add to that you can never get served on tills and car park full of potholes.
  18. maydell7's avatar
Oooooo fab. I may start shopping there a bit more . Only been going there for a few bits and pieces lately and never bother scanning my card. Hasn't been worth it.
  19. howbord's avatar
Its all showing up if i log in to the website but nothing showing in the app
    AC2019's avatar
You need to update your app.
  20. lizbubbles's avatar
Had to update app to get this. I wouldn't have known - thank you!
  21. Joign123's avatar
Only reason I still shop there is the fresh fish, butchers, and hot foods section.

Everything else is so expensive at Morrisons nowadays
    marshall-stephens's avatar
Agree about the prices, saw a large bottle of HP sauce at our local the other day…£5.99! 😵
  22. Keep-it-Tea's avatar
    nothing new here by Morrisons.
Currently losing customers faster than when someone releases a fart in a library.

500 points = 50p? what dumb logic is morrisons thinking!

    Keep it simple: 1p = 1 point, £5.00 = 500 points

Morrisons - heading for administration very soon?
    ran123ran's avatar
Think they are struggling with sales.

Wouldn't be surprised if they did some sort of extreme cost cutting exercise/restructure.

Brother works there & says they always short staffed & not allowed more bodies.

Self checkout theft is rife too. He regularly catches people trying to scam/steal at self checkouts. Eg trying to pass off steak as fruit/veg. Or taking large high value items eg loo rolls & leaving them in trolley & not scanning. When its busy, theft happens right under their nose as impossible to attend to customers & also keep an eye on theft/scammers.

I got most of the offers in this feed. They only offer is interesting is 1000 points for £10.00. I also have an £2.00 target deal over £10.00, so I will have to spend £12.

Morrisons is the worst rewards scheme. Tesco and Sainsbury's are equal Top. Asda comes in second and Lidl is third. (edited)

I'm trying to work out how much each point is actually worth, is it £1 spend on groceries = 1 point? and 5 points per litre of fuel?

If so, £5 voucher for a £5000 grocery spend is pretty rubbish (edited)
    maydell7's avatar
At the end of the day they are all rubbish. Let's face it, none of them are life changing haha. I always go for the cheapest store (which is none of them). I go from one to the other (local) to take advantage of the best prices from each store and if I pick up a few points here and there then I take them and enjoy the fruits of my labour (in about ten years time lol).
  29. Orange_swan's avatar
I got £5 off a £20 spend last month on Morrisons app
