Seems the extra data has come at the cost of Disney+. Still a great deal

They offered me a free 'extra' and Disney+ was still an option

Varies from area to area customer to customer. Its ok for me on 4G.
However the priority freebies and perks have gone down hill and very difficult to get hands on coffee vouchers at Greggs which seem to run out very quickly on weekdays.

I got this deal last year. Price increased this year from £10 to £11.73 because of RPI. Got 2 more months left on my contract. Reading the comments, it sounds like I can upgrade my existing contract to this deal - and therefore go back to paying £10. Anyone know how this can be done online please?

Yep, just make sure you're logged into your O2 account, add to basket and follow the steps to upgrade your plan (ie, select you don't need a new SIM etc). Should be quite self-explanatory. Don't forget to go through TopCashback to Uswitch to get some cashback too!

Can I move from a different network to this and keep the same number - relatively hassle free? My current SIMO ends at the end of June and this seems like a good deal

Always subjective when any mobile provider deals pop up.

I couldn’t wait to leave Vodafone due to poor speeds.

O2 below. I’ve been happy with them.

Talkmobile is like 12 for 100gb, runs on Vodafone network which is solid, changed over a few days ago, a million miles better than O2 has been for the last year and I had the 250gb for £15 deal. Problem with O2 is even if they give you a ton of data the speed is so slow you have no way of using it, not to mention the lag when browsing is insane

Talk mobile doesn’t have free roaming and £15 for 15 days is chocking… o2 data speed is more then enough in many places… it really depends where you live… o2 is not the best signal, not the best speed, and for me not the best customer service… but it’s value for money (when you use this promotions)… (edited)

I'm an O2 user, they aren't what they used to be, I think their network is probably over congested with Tesco & now Virgin (maybe others?) using it, the data is useless in my part of London.

If I see a deal anywhere like this with Vodafone, I'll be off like a shot.

Call them up and quote uswitch and this offer, is your existing contract a device plan? If it is you'll need to pay that off first. But if it's a SIM O just call them up and they should do it.

Does anyone know if the 3 month free disney+ can be stacked if you already have disney+ as currently just signed up for 3 months using Tesco club card. Many thanks in advance

Currently pay £9.38 (after RPI increase, was £8 before) for 30GB (60GB with Volt). Tempted by this deal, but don't really need the extra data. Hopefully, a 30GB plan will materialise to reduce my bill! 😁

Update: with the £12 TopCashback on offer, decided to upgrade to this plan. Will end up with a free £4.56 over the year and an extra 20GB of data a month!

No mention of it once clicked through from uswitch to o2 though (edited)

I was already with O2. Signed up on a new deal. The Disney+ bit won't activate. In my Disney account it says O2 is managing it. In O2 it says I need to link the extra - which I have done lots of times.

    Any ideas?

Can someone confirm something for me, please?

I'm currently on a 12-month sim-only plan with o2 that has Volt already applied in August 2022.

    I have some questions:
Will my existing Volt bolt-on on o2 remain after upgrading again?
Will I still be affected by the RPI price rise of April 2024?
  28. ArticIcon's avatar
    ArticIcon
I've upgraded just now but on the o2 app, I no longer see Volt applied. I checked "My Bolt ons" but nothing there.

The allowance has dropped to 40GB in the o2 app (no longer showing 80GB).

But on the o2 website when I log into my o2 account, it's showing 80GB. I also tried a different web browser and cleared the cache, still shows 80GB. So no idea why the o2 app and o2 website are showing differently.

Does it take time to re-apply the Volt benefit?

I was on a 40GB plan (80GB with Volt) before I upgraded again to the same plan.

I'm not the account holder with Virgin Media Broadband where I live but I live at the same address where Virgin Media is registered and the o2 sim-only contract is registered to the same address.

Will I have to contact o2 again? (edited)
