Tesco Bank have extended the length of their balance transfer credit card to 21 months which has no fee. Good if you have outstanding balances on other cards that you want to move over

Quidco has a possible £30 and see comment 1 for potential offer stack

p.s. The AA credit card has just launched a 0% balance transfer card for 22 months with no fee

Did this earlier this year and got £25 cashback paid out by Quidco. I referred a friend and we both got 1,000 referral points.
Think I got about £7k limit so it's not like they give you £500 limit either!
Does a balance transfer have to be from a card in my name, or can I transfer from a card in the wife's name (I'm not joint on that one)?
Got this about 6 months ago, quidco tracked but still waiting for payment.

Good card to have with the nil fees
still good card, but not as good as it used to be, as they're tightening the thumb screws on amount of tesco points dished out
nice one op, heat up

That doesn't mean a new customer. It can mean an existing customer who holds one but not two or more cards.
Was about to move all mine to the post office but at 0% this is a no brainer.
Time to shift & free cash

Rude not to move
existing customers can apply for this but cannot move any balance on their current tesco credit card to this one
got this 2month ago. good offer

Can I buy my usual things for 21 months and then only pay back the minimum monthly fee with no interest charges?

(No intention of 'maxing' the card....but just doing a property renovation - so it would be useful to take some heat off my current account!)
Hi does anyone know if you have to be in employment to be accepted ? At the mo I'm a stay at home mum to little ones. Thanks
Great deal. I signed up back in Feb when it was only 12 months 0% with 0 fee.

Do you get 0% interest up to your credit limit for NEW purchases? Or just for the balance that you transfer?

I'm not sure to be honest as I was only doing a balance transfer from another card following our first child and my wife taking a year maternity leave!
Think its just balance transfers? For purchases you want this card:

Cushty

Thanks for the advice
No probs

There is also a 37 month balance transfer one, has a fee attached though
Interesting.

I'm also looking out for a credit card that I could use abroad that has no fees attached to using it. Any ideas? Thanks

heat added for the AA heads up, decided to go with that so I could consolidate all in one

PS AA has £25 cashback with TCB as well

Can someone please explain to me why 21 months of zero percent balance transfer is a bonus? Does it relate to how long I would have to pay any credit card purchases back? Thanks in advance
can i transfer funds into my current account instead of another card ?
Is this for transfers only? Or can you make purchases on it

Say I have a £1000 balance on my Lloyds credit card that I have to pay off by the end of the month. This deal lets me transfer this £1000 to the Tesco card and only have to make the minimum payment on it for 21 months. Hence the £1000 that I was actually going to use to pay off my Lloyds credit card can now be earning me interest at 5% in my TSB account (about £50 annually). At the end of 21 months, I pay off whatever is left on the Tesco card or transfer that balance elsewhere.

Also you probably shouldn't be using the card to make purchases as these won't be interest free. Find an interest free purchases card or one that earns you points or Avios for purchases instead.

Hope that helps

Yes, very happy with the limit. Got 2k and my credit rating isn't spotless, so was very surprised to get accepted for the offer. I didn't request any limit, they offered it me

Firstly, thanks very much for your time in replying. I just stuggle to grasp credit cards, they seem so confusing (deliberately, I presume). I think I understand ha, so you are essentially shifting debt from one pool to another, whilst minimalising any repayments? Would you keep the Lloyds credit card account open or would you simply transfer credit/debt to Tesco and close the Lloyds account?

I agree that they make it confusing on purpose! Yeah, essentially you're moving money about to minimize repayments, which lets you have more cash about in your interest earning bank accounts.

In my example, I keep my Lloyds card because it earns me Avios, but you don't have to. Just find something which is right for you. For me the Lloyds duo Avios is great because I get to earn Avios and use it for overseas transactions at great rates

Have been holding back from applying for a new card but need to take the plunge soon as my current interest rate is too high. Would need a bit more than £2k but my history is pretty good so could work out ok for me.

You don't need to be employed but you do need to have a personal income of at least £5000 a year. They will likely ask you to prove where your income is coming from.

You can, but not interest free so it's not recommended.
