0% Balance Transfer for 25 months - reduced 2.04% fee in June @ Barclaycard

The latest offer from Barclaycard has reduced balance transfer fees across their product range throughout June (this is a better deal than their balance transfer offers in May).

0% interest on balance transfers for 25 months from account opening (2.04% handling fee applies). Rep variable APR is 18.9%. New customers only.

The fee is reduced from 3.5% to 2.04% (terms and conditions apply). Minimum income is £20k.

If you want a longer balance transfer duration, Barclaycard also offer a 0% balance transfer for 27 months with a 2.98% fee (usually this is 3.90%). Check out my other post for more details.

What if you already have a Barclay card?

Then you are not a new customer and don't qualify!

Try Virgin or Natwest/RBS instead for 26 month cards. See Money Savings Expert Direct Link

Waiting for downvotes from people who don't earn £20k

Quite a high-ish minimum payment (approx 2%) but the deal is good.

4.9% transfer fee for existing customers but still 25 months...the price of loyalty

BEWARE:

I got my BarclaysCard last month and used it for balance transfer. I was really SHOCKED to see £112 minimum payment, which is about 2.55 % of balance.

At that rate you will have to fork out a massive amount every month. After 25 months you will have about 50 to 65 % money repaid. So on average you get much less money for the fee you pay.

Whereas most of the other cards have minimum payment of £25 (or 1% of balance) every month. That makes those cards much better deal than Barclays Card.

Any similar deals for people on lower than 20k?

Well, you're gonna have to pay your balance off one time or another

what are they like at giving cards to self employed?

I'm pretty sure I was self-employed when I got mine. That was a few years ago though.

In that case, why to use this card at all if you have the money ?

Not necessary I pay that balance off. I may even transfer it to another card after 25 months ( In case, I can't manage to repay).

You serious! You're moaning about paying 2.5%??? The idea of a balance transfer is to pay off over a longer period at a lower interest rate, not to carry on the never-never.
