Cheers. Applied and got accepted. Now transferring a balance from an CC account with interest to this one.

Thanks, well spotted - added to deal info/title.

What's the likelihood of being able to transfer my 10k?

Who provide Tesco with their cards?

Just thinking that they probably wont allow transfers from certain cards as the parent company will be the same.

Yeah, I believe Tesco bought out RBS's share of the company.

This one has 0% transfer fee, so as an example, if I chose the Barclayscard one at 36 months interest free like you said, the initial transfer cost on £5000 will set me back £150.

Halifax also offering very similar deal. 16m 0% fee on transfers link

They don't give a damn (just enter numbers) so yes BUT YOU will be liable for the debt.

I already have a 30 month deal with Lloyds which I'm 2 months into, think I'll just transfer £25 from that card to this one, then pay it off and keep the card open long enough to bank my free £25 from Quidco

are you that desperate?

Stoozing is back

Santander 123 card is my choice. Yes there is the £24 annual fee but the interest I make covers that and some. Plus 12.50 quidco at the minute. Currently 23 months 0% on Balance Transfers AND purchases and no BT fee.

Still voting this hot.

Just got this hot

Perfect thanks for sharing this. Very handy for reorganising my finances! I was immediately accepted with a decent credit limit

its very unlikely, as you would be accruing debt on one card and paying off anther debt on the other. wouldn't be sensible lending should you not be able to repay

it would depend on how much you earn for them to give to a £10K+ limit, i was given £4.5k with BC, even though i only wanted/ needed £1K

Tesco Bank, they are their own bank. Virgin have recently done the same and separated from MBNA

if they can't make money from you they're unlikely to issue you with another card when you do need one

as many as you want, but it will depend on the amount of credit they issue and you can only used 95% of the credit (so you don't go over when the FEE is added (or not in this case)

they usually have a minimum balance transfer of £100 but Tesco Bank can still decline the cashback should the find out your just playing the system. and too many credit checks on your file isn't a good thing. pay lloyds off then try again

i have the Tesco 30mth deal, tried for £20 cashback via Quidco. Tesco declined my cashback after 5mths with no reason given

Would I be able to transfer an overdraft balance on to this card or is it just for credit card balances?

These offers of 0% on balance transfer remind me of the time just before the recession and the credit crunch.

I just signed up and it said that transfers can only be done from cards registered in your name.

Santander deal is not really great, as if you use the 0% offer for the BT for 23 month you still need to pay nearly 2 years of fee which is £48 over 24 month. If you're going to use it for Purchases, Santander are not very generous with their credit limit compared with Halifax, LLoyds, or Tesco's, (which gave me up to 10 times Santander's credit limit in the past and the present) so unless your spending is about £100 a month or less, you'll reach your credit limit within a few weeks and end up paying the fees for the rest of the23 month 0% term or you'll have to reduce the balance by paying it to keep using it for the cashback. I signed up for Santander 18 month 0% interest 0% fee on BT or Purchases, but the credit limit they gave me wasn't even enough to cover the 55 days bill, I had to change the direct debit from minimum to full payment and still need to pay off some of the balance until the DD payment in order to keep using it for the cashback, so for our spending the 0% offer was useless really.
You're better off with Tesco's 18 month 0% or Halifax' 16 month 0% with no fee deal as I found them more generous with the credit limit. Voted hot for this deal.

I work for Tesco Bank so can answer peoples questions if you want. Re some of the points that have been brought up:

You cannot transfer a balance from a card not in your name, TB will stop these and the chance of one going through is very small.
TB will only not reissue a card if you stop using it for a long time, and they will write to you first to let you know.
You can only have one TB credit card at a time.
You can only transfer a balance from a Credit or store card. Some cards will not be accepted in the application form but you can call and do them when you receive the card (virgin money, argos, next and others).
On that note, your balance transfer will go through when you activate the card and not before. If you enter the card number on the application TB will process it when you activate the card.
You can do as many balance transfers as you want up to 95% of the credit limit, up until the end of the 18 month period.

I can answer a few more questions later if there's a demand.

Also please remember the 6 digit security number you set when you apply, you will need to it to go online, activate your card and you will be asked for it any time you call.
