Senior moment, picked wrong card link lol!

Deleted my comment in case some eager beaver clicked it and risked losing their cashback.

Do you think you can get the Quidco if you already signed up to the BT card?

The wording as follows.. you qualify if "You don't currently hold a Tesco Bank Credit Card"

Obviously the BT card is a form of credit but do you think Tesco see it as the same?

Is this a bt card or general spending card. Was going to get a laptop would it be worth getting this ??

is there a clause re sign up if you have had Tesco credit card within last 12 months?

heat added thanks

Can someone clarify if those clubcard points are in addition to normal clubcard points or just the same. I.e. if you buy in Tesco do you get 9 clubcard points per £4 allowing for your existing free clubcard points?

The "Plus, your credit card doubles as your Clubcard, so you'll get:" on the credit card site is the clue that this is just spin to confuse people.

Using the current credit cards only gets you an additional 1 point per £4 spend. The other 4 is just your normal clubcard points, which you get on any pound spent rather than every four.

Is there a minimum spend per year? Always wondered if you could just get one of these cards, use it once, pay back the outstanding balance and then claim the cash back?

As your credit card doubles as your club card you get a total of 5 points per £4 spend at Tesco

"It's simple: use your Clubcard Credit Card wherever you see the Mastercard logo. You'll collect points on almost everything you buy. Plus, your credit card doubles as your Clubcard, so you'll get:
•5 Clubcard points for every £4 you spend at Tesco stores
•5 Clubcard points for every £4 you spend on Tesco fuel (excludes Esso Fuel)
•1 Clubcard point for every £4 you spend everywhere else
You can collect one point in addition to your normal Clubcard points for each £4 you spend in a purchase transaction (the minimum purchase is £4)."

I am not aware of any clauses that specify time limit of how early you can reapply after closure. But I think the time limit is 6 months from when you last closed the credit card account (I remember this being mentioned to me by customer service rep when I closed my account the last time).

thats poo i took the bank of scotland one 35 months and £20 quidco which tracked in 6hours

thanks, just applied and signed up in 2 mins...

Does anyone know if second account can be opened if you already have one tesco credit card ?

I'm really lazy and can't be bothered to click the link and read the grown-up stuff. What % fee do they charge for balance transfers on this card?

Applied for this last week. PIN arrived but card on the way.

Wasn't the £25 cash back when I checked last week though. Still a great offer....

If I took this card out and used it to pay the balance of another card off would that qualify for 1 point per £4 spent?

ie - if I had a balance of £4k on a different card, would I get 1,000 clubcard points?

does cancelling a card I don't use affect my credit rating negatively?

Depends. Too much credit is a bad thing, but having a higher credit utilisation (as in the amount of credit available to you which you actually use) is often worse.

I always get a voucher for around 650 bonus points a year. I have had this card for many years and it's the best for rewards, on an ongoing basis. I earn enough clubcard points to have a £40 pizza express every two weeks if I wanted, I occasionally shop at tesco, everything is purchased on the card, fill up at Esso and redeem the maximum topcashback a year.

5 years ago I got £2200 off a virgin holiday, 3 years ago had a free weeks caravan holiday on the Isle of Wight. Last year got £700 off a cosmos holiday, free iPad, 16 cinema tickets, pair of Bluetooth headphones, £300 restaurant vouchers plus some other things. I also have an Amex which has saved me £340 since Xmas with their introductory offer and deals etc.

Can existing customers get this offer?

I swear when I signed up a couple of years ago you would get a hell of a lot more points per pound spent at Tesco.

what is max borrow? as in could I buy a car on this for 0%?

skeptic

Yes. but....

The amount of credit you get offered will depend on what Tesco your are capable of borrowing so will depend on your credit history, your income and your other cards/loans etc..

Buying a car is a bit tricky. Normally car dealers are OK with taking a deposit on a credit card, but the balance they normally want a debit card, cash or bank transfer. They may let you do it on a credit card for a fee or as part of the negotiation.

A final option would be to put all of your life spending on the card, and then use the cash that you haven't spent in a savings account which you use to buy the car - this could take a while unless you have a high cash turnover....

what sort of limit would you get? only got £1500 with m&s, hardly worth the hassle.

needs to be around 10k at least. i earn enough that i wont be getting into debt, and can easily satisfy their criteria

Does anyone know the best card for someone who doesnt have lots of debt? I want to pay the balance off monthly and use it for purchases, fuel and food. I have one now, but I get nothing. I pay it all off but is there any incentive for cashback etc??

These f****** rejected my application for some reason

How long on average does it take for the card and pin to turn up? I successfully applied for it last weekend but I've heard nothing since, which is odd as I have no email confirmation or anything.

American express platinum cashback card - 5% cashback for first 3 months (up to £2,000 Max spend). Then 1.5% after that. Make sure you cancel before paying your second year starts otherwise they will take another £25 fee.
Apply through Quidco to negate the first year fee with £25 cashback here:
quidco.com/ame…rd/

You get your cashback payable in a lump sum at the end of the 12 months.

Thank you Tesco and the OP, some good cheap long-term credit and Tesco clubcard points as well, decent limit as well.

Does the introductory 21 months on purchases stand if you have had and closed a tesco credit card 6 months ago?

A lot of credit card companies don't let you pay the bill by credit card, it's debit card/direct debit/bank transfer only.

Looks like it has expired when using the link...

Sorry we couldn't find what you were looking for but it's not all bad news, here are some popular offers to browse.
