Frick! Always some haters around! Majority of all the companies listed on this website will have touched a raw nerve with someone, but that's not what this websites about! It's about sharing deals with fellow others who may use them to their advantage! Not for for those who want have a flipping strop!

They have a free listing weekend just about every second week. It's basically the only time worth selling anything with them IMO. Paypal/Ebay are the same company and their double dipping fees are scandalous. Amazon is becoming a better option for both buying and selling secondhand these days.
Not voting because it's not really a hot deal and these free listing weekends run like clockwork.

If you have somthing to sell, eBay will sell it!

Let me be the first to congratulate you on being the only person never to have made a typo on any post or email etc. Your school would be very proud.

Actually I've never made a mistake either. He's not so special now.

Cant stand ebay now, you cant give buyers negative feedback and ebay always side with buyers, buyer can used a new goods, break the seals , use it then return it to you and get a full refund.

To much of a headache, use to love ebay and used it all the time, now i try to avoid it if i can.

The fees ebay and paypal charge are a joke but until they get tough competition its always going to be the case and will continue to rise.

I mostly just buy now instead of selling, although just lately been annoyed out how long some sellers take to send stuff, waited 2 weeks from one seller, i use to send things on same day or next day but guess its why i had 100% feedback

jumpingphil...what does awy spell,as i can't seem to find it in the dictionary.....

you would'nt have made a spelling mistake,or been lazy and used text speak now would you?

Ebay is greedy. No doubt about that. They even take your money from postage. For Christ's sake, 10% commission and money taken away by Paypal as well. Unless you have friends to prop up your prices, it's just not worth it.

They should at least set aside postage so that you don't suffer that much!

Just received an email?

eBay really need to sort out their email system. Everyone else I know who uses eBay got theirs the day before.

numbnuts - jumpingphil wrote avvy (a-v-v-y) which seems to have several references, most notably a Bahamian songwriter, though I can't find one that fits in this context.

An awy (a-w-y) is, as most parents will know, what a small child gets when they hurt their finger or receive some other small injury, though I've not seen it spelt like this before.;)

Lazy post! The op honestly couldn't of expected this to get any heat. Anyone who has ever sold on eBay before would of got sent that email in the last couple of days which will be nearly everyone who uses this website.

The other day I received payment for a item that sold only for £1. Paypal charged 23p for using their services?! WTF?

Some people actually appreciate deals posted on here, so what I received an email and I posted it after, I'm not the first or last to do this. And if you don't like eBay, don't use it! I myt just go round and give cold votes to things on this website I personally don't like/or had bad experiences with...

ebay was soo good once upon a time, but it gradually over time increased its fees bit by bit then on top of that paypal was introduced again with extra fees, there is very little if any profit in it these days, hence why i dont use it anymore.

If you guys think ebay fees are rip off then you should see amazon
i been using ebay for many years and altho the fees have made it very hard to sell low value items on there, it aint as bad as amazon marketplace

Lets be honest, ebay is and always will be online auction king even with their fees. No site gives you as much exposure for the goods (useless stuff you will only throw out anyway/give to charity) you sell. Always research your market, and be realistic. Unless you are a business seller you should expect to make a slight loss, and if you breakeven or profit that's a bonus.

i personally use facebook and this site to sell the odd few things, works a treat n best of all no fees

ha ha found out what he means by avvy or a v v y,it short chav speak for avatar,so either he into films or a chav......and would think the latter.......booyakasha,...so being lazy to spell a word is no excuse, unlike a spelling mistake......

Ebay is best

You need to know how to PRICE the item.

price you want + 12% ebay fees + 3.5 something paypal

where else do you find so many buyers to bid ?

gumtree is free but then the person come to collect and you have to be there and sometimes even after promise they dont turn up and ruining your whole day plan ?

and to sell £5 item who likes strangers to come in your house to collect ?

amazon charges same if you wish to sell there £17.50 % something! flat no listing fees that's it. and very difficult to list there.

Hot from me, I missed it on Ebay for some reason

1. Why not private message him... oh yes, you like to look better.
2. Your first post had a missing full stop off the end, I'm just curious why did you do that?
3. This is an informal message board about deals, not about trivial spelling/grammar errors - open to all, not just the spelling elite.
4. I've had a quick look, you do this ALL the time, why do you do this?... I'm just curious.

Lol I thought every one one here was all fuzzy and cuddlesome but I got my fingers burnt with eBay and I sway away from it what's with the pointing out poor grammar this is like a staff meeting everyone wants to kill every one but can you still sort me a discount and your other job?
