£1 30 day trial with £25.25 cashback via topcashback

Found 13th Apr 2014
Sign up to the times via topcashback for £1 and receive £25.25 cashback. I have tried and is pending in my account already. £26 each month after that so cancel before a month and you only spend £1. Ends today!

Seems like they have changed the Terms and Conditions to avoid paying cashback.

You can leave a review of The Times on Topcashback here topcashback.co.uk/the…ews

You CAN cancel via live chat. As others including myself have done it that way and in addition just say about the 7 day cooling off period!
- TheBoss96

Kristy, Gareth, James & Lorna will not cancel via Live Chat.
Amber, Adele, Dominic and Sasha will but you have to be persuasive
Wendy, Natasha, Angela and Donnie will easily cancel

Good Luck!
- Firefly1

Helen will also easily cancel.

You hope what helps?

With this pack you'll have our tablet app, smartphone app and webiste log in all 7 days a week. Normally this is £6 per week so £26 per month and you're getting this for just £1 on a months trial. If you choose to continue after the trial, it only goes into a monthly rolling contract so you're not tied into anything. All you need to do is give us a call and speak to an agent about cancellation information before the end of the trial, or 15 days notice before your billing payment date when you're in the monthly rolling full pack price contract.

Is it easy to cancel?

For £25 cashback, I will make the effort to pickup a phone!

Done. Also, Today is the last day of this offer so get cracking!!

isn't it unlikely to get the tcb if cancelling within a month?

What chance is there that they will give the cashback if you cancel within the trial?

Exactly.......

With cashback, terms and conditions don't make any difference, as there's no 'cashback contract'

Same here, tracked in under 5 minutes.

I think I may have just done this wrong :'(

Can you not pay by direct debit and cancel this after they take the £1 out?

or maybe not. I was expecting an immediate email will be a bit patient !

What's the number to cancel?

I can't see an option where I get a £1 trial... or am I being a bit dim?

Just signed up for the digital pack, hopefully it goes through if not it's worth it £1.

You have to phone up to cancel. Not aggressive at all but they will then try and retain you by offering various offers e.g half price for three months or whatever. I phoned to cancel the day before the end of my trial and i was told that first monthly payment was already going through and it was 'impossible to stop'. After some farting about i eventually got my money back. I advise phoning up to cancel 3-4 days before the end.

You can't beat reading a physical newspaper but the actual app is very good indeed, just not worth £6 a week IMO as i didn't use it every day. Price it at £2-3 and i think i'd be tempted.

Aha. I found it under the special offer tab. Doh. (so, yes, I *was* being at least a bit dim :D)

Times site is now running slow....

If you pay via paypal, you could just cancel the future payment agreement.

There is a live chat I just noticed on signing up, that'll do for cancellation! Hot.

Cheers got to be in it to win it.

Paid via PayPal. Even if it doesn't work, £1 for a month is great.

If TCB or The Times don't give us the cashback, then HUKD should

They advertised this on Facebook and in no words does it say that the cashback would not be valid if you cancel during the trial.

Glad this has gone down well. Good luck guys

Just signed up through TCB, how long does it take to show in "Your Earnings", never used TCB before as I'm a Quidco guy.

Why do so many of you not want to speak to them on the phone to cancel?!

It's always a gamble, you are not forced to take it though. HUKD just tell us about it via the users that post.

I just spoke with someone on live chat apparently you should give 15 days notice if you want to cancel....so 15 days after you sign up..I am assuming, or you will e charged for the next month
