Good price for diesel. Shame it's a manual otherwise just what I needed
Volkswagen damaged their good name by fooling a lot of their loyal customers, let's hope they decide to be honest in the future....
Good price, unsure why cold

It's a diesel - that's enough.

Cos its poorly priced. I'm paying £48 more for the R-line although it's 9000 miles per year. However, I'd happily pay that for what I'm getting extra.

Even that is pricey. I'm £216 for a top of the range skoda yeti with 10000 miles.

2 totally different things. Could you find me the same deal for cheaper?

Also, is that top of the range Yeti? I presume not. I could've got the Tiguan SE Nav for less, but that don't compare to the R-Line.

P. S. That's still a decent price you got there, depending on the spec obviously.

Yes. Top of the range l&k model.

Can't find anything that compares for anywhere near that price, and my lease is up next month. So on the look out for a good deal. But not going to go anywhere near my current deal

Not that I'm a fan of the Tiguan (or anything from the VW stables) but that isn't a fair comparison really.

The Yeti is quite a bit smaller, and crucially has been around since 2009, this is a much more modern car and deserves to cost more.

Is she really comparing a Yeti with an R-Line VW? I have a Superb in that spec, but it's no VW

£48 more overall or per month?

The R line is very nice, I must admit.

I got my TDI SE Nav 2016 model for £2400 + £119.99 a month, albeit 5k on a 24 month deal, excess mileage 7.2p inc VAT.

Looks great on the outside, but not overly fond of the plastic-like interior - I’m sure this got reviewed as a “VW Golf on Steroids” by one online car reviewer.

Yes, I think it was carwow. Having said that, I'm pretty sure it was referring to the size and not the power to weight ratio. Coz this isn't a very fast car. And if you're going for the R-Line and need a bit of oomph, you need to go for the 190 and not 150! Having said that, I don't know how the auto would perform. And with the R-Line, you got some heavy 20inch wheels, so factor that in to your mpg and parking skills. And definitely get at least a rear parking camera, as the parking sensors could hypnotise you how often they beep and for what reasons.
Yes, £48 more overall per month, factoring in all the costs. The only thing I excluded was the maintenance, which covers, servicing, tyres, and all other little bits and bobs.

The R-Line is beautiful, and I think the best colour to have it in, is white or metallic grey. The black hides all the accents!

Lookers VW
Been looking at these so any deals £200-£250 per month with 6 month deposit preferably on 24 month deal anyone knows of would be great.

Seen an SE Nav for £240 p/m with circa £1500 upfront. R Line would be great, SEL or SE Nav if not

TIA

Is that (£2000 + (35 x £204)) = £9140 or £253.88 inc vat per month net? That would be perfect for me too if so, can you let me know where please?
It’s £204 inc vat per month with 2k down so 1x2000 followed by 35x204.

I think it’s a good price.

I paid 2400 +119 a month which works out cheaper, but that was ordered nearly 2 years ago and took 5 months to get delivered for the same car.

Personally I think the deal is better than MDS as when you factor in the deposit, it’s actually costing him 263£ a month. You are also not putting down 2k and if the car was stolen, tough luck you lose this money.

This is is why minimum initial payments are preferred.

How someone can vote cold for only a difference of 2£ a week is hilarious.

I could put £0 initial deposit down and the payments were still lower than this (£253pm compared to £272 for this deal), think you need to do your math again, I got the option to put down however much I wanted. Opted for £2k to get the monthly payments to a sensible level.

so based on that I wouldn’t say it was a better deal at all, it’s worse by £20 pm.

Got to know how to negotiate...

It was ordered through G2L. Car was also delivered in 2 weeks . However, it wasn't 10k it was 9k. But that wouldn't/shouldn't make that much of a difference.

There's always room for movement, hence, why it can always be negotiated. Initially I was going to get an SEL at this price, but with a bit of homework, I managed to get the R-Line at this price.

I negotiate a lot in my job, some reasonable numbers. Work with a large amount of suppliers and I used to think I was rather good at negotiating. My wife, far superior than me at most things, is also rather good, worked for a large company where her direct annual spend just under 200 million a year with suppliers. Might consider employing you as we are obviously rather bad at our jobs

Good work though, I saw another R line today, as our one comes to the end in October, might have to consider another Tiguan, might get the LW base one, need a bigger boot.

Lol... Not being as good as another don't make you bad at your job... Just means someone else is better . May have just been my luck!
