Have so much to sell but never have the courage to do so, I have heard too …Have so much to sell but never have the courage to do so, I have heard too many ebay horror stories and have no idea how to deal with postage

factor in P&P & send everything 'signed for' @ Royal Mail (post office) - eg <2kg small parcel = £3.90. If it's heavier, use Collect+ tracked. Don't sell anything for less than £10 + postage - lower value is hardly worth your time unless you're in business selling thousands of items for small margin. Give that lower value stuff to charity shops, friends or bin it.

So basically everything you sell will be tracked and/ or signed for plus make you some decent cash. Cuts out 95% of the cheats.
i just get this.....Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired. Never mind

Don't discount UPS via Shutl either. I use UPS most times because it is often cheaper than Collect+, is higher quality than Hermes and is a 1 day service.

If you are selling with standard fees, decide how much you want for an item. Add the relevant postage and 20p for Paypal then multiply by 1.154 (that your eBay and Paypal fees covered).

eg If you want £10.

£10+£3.90+20p=£14.10 x 1.154 = £16.27 (say £16.50).

£16.50-13.4%=£14.29-20p=£14.09-£3.90=£10.19

This £1 deal makes things a lot better if you are selling items worth more than £10.

Always add postage to the price, rather than separately, and advertise as "free postage" that way you always automatically get 5 stars for P&P in the detailed seller ratings.

Since buyer is paying postage always post "signed for" or, if low value items, get proof of postage so that you can claim from Royal Mail.

Hope that made sense.

Worth checking on this. I took advantage of this the last time they did it and they told me I hadn't activated it properly and that they wouldn't honour it. Eventually they did after I called and explained but just be careful!
Thanks

It always works for me on at least 1 of it.

All Royal Mail small parcels have delivery confirmation as standard
Nicely done I've managed to accept this offer today.
