It's back again and for 4 days this time.....Forget a romantic weekend away, what better way to cheer the Missus up than counting those pennies this Valentine's day?

£1 eBay Max selling fees, activate the offer via the deal link (14th - 17th February 2020)

Remember: if you're not accepted now wait until it goes live and try again. If you meet all the conditions and still have no luck, try asking eBay as they have activated it on their end in the past when requested.

Guidelines

Only single item listings (not multiple quantity listings) will qualify.

Remember to uncheck the box at the end for automatic relist, since that relist will not qualify for the offer.

It can be used for Buy it Now or Auction style listings, as long as they start in the window of the offer period.

What’s it all about?

Create up to 100 listings on eBay.co.uk (ebay.co.uk) in an eligible category

Listings must start during the promotional period

Listings can be auction-style or fixed price format

Pay a maximum of £1 per listing in final value fees if the item sells.

The promotion start and end dates are included in the email we send to invited sellers.

Item must sell within the first listing period.

Sounds good, where do I find the promotion and how do I sign up?

You can take part in the promotion on eBay.co.uk (ebay.co.uk). In the first instance, we’ll send you an email with an RSVP link to the offer. You must opt in to the promotion by clicking on this link before any of your 100 listings start.

Anything else I need to know?

You won’t pay an insertion fee for each of the 100 listings. Listing upgrade fees will still apply and will be charged according to the eBay fees policy. The number of listings eligible under this promotion may be less where seller restrictions apply. Click here (pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/sellinglimits.html) to learn more about selling allowances.

Who can take part?

This promotion is open to all registered private sellers who have been invited to take part and have actively opted in. Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is not transferable.

Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay minimum seller performance standards
are eligible. Please sign in to My eBay and view your seller standards dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards. The seller standards dashboard is available to all sellers here (https//se…rd) (sellerstandards.ebay.co.uk/dashboard)).

If you registered after 15 March 2011 or haven’t listed any items for a while, you may have a listing allowance of 10 items per month or of £650 per month, whichever is reached first. You may be able to increase this allowance by providing additional verification.

An eligible item previously scheduled to go live during the promotional period will qualify for the promotion only if you have opted in to the promotion before the listing starts.

If an item that is eligible for the promotion had previously closed without a successful sale and is re-listed during the promotion period, it will form a part of the 100 listings limit of the promotion. You will not receive a refund of your original insertion fee if the item sells.

Listings do not have to successfully sell during the promotional period to be eligible.

If an item qualifies for the promotion and when the item sells, the invoice will indicate the fee including the discount. Please note: if the item does not sell the first time and if you relist it after the promotional period or if it is automatically relisted during the promotional period, standard final value fees will be charged according to the eBay fees policy when the relisted item sells.

Items that are automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function or the Good ‘Till Cancelled function will be charged.

Only single quantity listings are eligible.

For items listed in 2 or more categories, only the insertion fee for the first category is included. Standard insertion fees will be charged for listing the same item for each additional category, according to the eBay fees policy.

Free listings in this promotion do not count towards your monthly 1000 free listings.

Your first listing period may vary and is dependent on the listing format you choose (e.g. – auction-style vs buy-it-now), the duration of the listing you choose and the listing experience you use. The first listing period will be considered to have been ended when the listing you create first renews or relists.

Restrictions & exclusions

The following are excluded from the promotion:

Any attempt to manipulate this promotion, or past promotions will lead to automatic exclusion from participation.

eBay also reserves the right to exclude users on the basis that their seller accounts have fallen below the minimum required seller performance

Facebook Marketplace is free!!

My experience of Facebook marketplace.

List a PS4 console for £150
Message from someone - will you take £10
Me - no
Them - will you swap for a gerbil?
Me - are you on crack?
Them - yes do you sell crack?
Me - block, delete item, list on eBay £1 listings

I may have dramatised this comment for comedic effect but you get the jist
A good amount of time to sell all those unwanted valentines gifts that you don't receive. Heat!
fwog13/02/2020 08:38

Why pay a pound when you can sell on Facebook commission free?

Most of the Facebook users I come across are chancers, who have no shame about offer 50% or less than my asking price!

I would say that's one very large reason.

I've sold a few and never had a problem.

Be honest and describe any faults, marks, scratches etc in detail. Use all the 12 free pics, try to show any marks etc in the pics and make sure at least one shows the IMEI number on the screen.

Describe the phone in as much detail as you can, especially if it's locked to a particular network. Make sure you mention any accessories, cables, charger, case, box etc.

Only accept payment by PayPal and only send to a confirmed UK address on the PayPal account by tracked and insured post.

Yes
I have never sold on ebay. If I sell an item for £100 plus postage, am I correct in saying I will receive £99 into my paypal account? Sorry for silly question.

She also requested return saying boots too small, when it arrived back to me I was shocked! There was 10 years old worn shoes ! I lost all appeals eBay PayPal as well as money £150. And this is not the one scam I had.... eBay become playground for thefts and crooks...

It's easy, just don't offer PayPal and exclude all liabilities

If you use PayPal you set up yourself for a scam since PayPal always sides with the buyer

Yes you will have to settle for a lower price and your item might not sell as fast but with a good seller reputation this is not an issue
Perfect timing for selling a couple of old phones.

It's happened to me a few times now and I've always given a full refund, but getting annoyed now at the PayPal fees I keep ending up paying. 10 x 50p has cost me £5. Just wondering

Never except PayPal for collections - after the buyer collects they could file a claim with paypal saying not delivered. There’d be no proof of delivery.
The identical listing thing - is that just for items listed on the same weekend? I have an item for sale that was listed three weeks ago. Can I list an identical second item for £1 or would that fall foul?

No, you will receive £100 less PayPal fees of £3.60.
Once per month Ebay invoice you for fees but it would be for £1 not £10.

You cant list identical listings at any time. Remember this is identical listings I.e. no change at all. Just change one word in item name.

They don't always side with the buyer. As a seller I've won many claims or at least I haven't been liable for refunds and Ebay took the hit.
Not accepting PayPal is impossible on Ebay really. You have to accept it.

No, but you can create a separate personal account and get the offers on that but not sure how long before you'd be eligible!

I sell a lot of things to overseas buyers so gumtree doesn't help plus when I did lost anything on it I got zero interest. You get what you pay for which is nothing. Plus I don't really want strangers visiting my home.
It’s happening on eBay

I think you need to have a certain level of sales before you become eligible for the promotion. Plus you need to maintain positive feedback. There is a percentage threshold after which you become ineligible

Wait 48 hours then report and open dispute as non paying bidders. They are then given a bit longer to pay when they don’t you get your fees refunded and they get a non paying bidder strike against then.

Do you have to sell everything by the 17th of feb or just list them by the 17th Feb?
Ie if they sell after the 17th will you still get £1 max selling fees??

I use the global shipping programme so I'm still sending to the UK. They then send it on. I wouldn't send directly abroad.

No HOWEVER... If you list an item you need to sell it within 30 days otherwise you lose the promotion. EBay do not relist the item so you'd think you still get the £1 fvf however it does not apply after 30 days of listing. Happened to me and I had a conversation with ebay support about it

jeez i cant stress how accurate this is! Now i'm not racist but it is usally the asian community that is the worst for this. They usually want to buy to sell on themselves.

selling a mate 20 pro on there: £280

"will you accept £150"

i mean really £130 less than asking price, its insulting i just replied with.

"when i sell something for £130, i will just give you it for free, is that ok?"

sarcasm at its finest.

Yes you have to tick the box but can also tick for cash on collection. If a buyer still pays with paypal then refund it explaining the reason and ask for cash on collection only. A genuine buyer won’t mind. Bit of a pain but you leave yourself wide open otherwise
I notice that the 'create new listing' page still contains the generic link to the normal Final Value Fee page even when accepted onto this promotion and so in case anyone has any doubts whether their listings really have been accepted as intended then if you go to the My Ebay > Selling page and scroll down to them bottom then it tells you how many listings are under promotion and includes a link to the item numbers.

Yes if you don't end and relist it yourself before the 30 days it then reverts to 10%. My advice is to end listings and relist every time this offer is available or at least every other time. That way you never have anything up more than 4 weeks.
NOT WORKING FOR ME IT SAY Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired.
