Went into my local tesco express and a Sports cap Litre of Buxton was only 34p - reduced from the usual 74p price. Not sure if this is online too

Thought it was a great deal and bought a few

Who pays for bottled water :?
Free from the tap (in my area anyway before u all start :p)

Bought 6 of these two days ago from my local Tesco.

I can use the bottles for my energy shakes - I have tried so many did types of containers but these look perfect for it. I cycle 10 miles a day and swim about a mile before I start work

Tap Water and bottle? or Tap Water through a Brita style filter etc?..

Great price, just for the bottle alone as thekudos said.

Water - about 0.2 pence per litre from your tap. This deal is overpriced by a little more than 33 pence.

It's not exactly the same as tap water...

Plenty of prats will pay for "free" stuff

good deal man! water water water, i love water, BUT i like snow as well, what a crazy world! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO TO bottled water, just bought a CRATE FULL!!! BUXTON yeahhhhhhhhh

Bottled water does oftenly taste nicer than tap water, Evian especially, but I'll take tap water any day over Buxton.

Good deal for the price - Bad deal for the carbon footprint effect...

id get the bus if i were you :whistling: lol

As said, useful for the bottles more than anything else. Buxton water's nice as well, far better than evian and better than what we get up in Tyneside!

Yes, tap water is free if you are not metered because you pay rates whether you use it or not, but here is some of the other stuff you get free out of your tap:

Liquified chlorine
Fluorosilicic acid
Aluminium sulphate
Calcium hydroxide
Sodium silicofluoride
Chlorine
Fluorine compounds
Trihalomethanes (THMs)
Salts of:
arsenic
radium
aluminium
copper
lead
mercury
cadmium
barium
Hormones
Nitrates
Pesticides

So, because a Brita can't clean all this stuff out, some people might prefer bottled water for anything but cleaning, washing and bathing. Especially if they have an intolerence to some of this stuff.

Or if there is a water piping fault in you area. Or a kryptosproridium outbreak as there was recently traced to a dead rabbit at the water treatment works.

There are quite a few more reasons to buy bottled water, although ordinarily I wouldn't buy any myself I can at least see where it might be useful to some.

LOL. There are small amounts of poison in everything we eat, breathe and drink. There are probably minute amounts of these things in your spring water too.....

Can you give me the brand of spring water that has cryptosporidium in it please?

And the first items in the list are deliberately added and not just trace elements.

And like I said before, I wouldn't buy it myself but I'm not ignorant about it either.

"I cycle 10 miles a day and swim about a mile before I start work"

do you work on a lighthouse?

Lol, when I saw this deal in my RSS feeds my first thought was who'll be first to post about tap water, and there it was, first response.

Tescos own brand bottled water is 17p for 2ltr's? Much difference?

voted hot just got four bottles

as stated bottles are brilliant for energy shakes e.t.c

also tap water isnt so good down here, obviously everybody has a choice between the two but its a bit churlish to vote something down

could apply that thinking to pretty much everything posted on here

good deal and thanks
