not bad for 30 day contract. hot voted

How does this compare to the one Tesco was doing for £10, October time.

October one use to have 500mins, unltd txts and 500mb data for a tenner but they withdrew that one a while back, which was typical as i was just about to get it! Was keeping an eye out and found this which is still not bad for the price. The 1gb data one is particularly appealing

cracking deal, can't remember what network they use though!

O2's from what I know. I went for this to go with the San Francisco deal that was popular on here.

Yes, it would be nice if Tesco did the old deal again. I'm currently with giffgaff but will be looking to move when the free payg data ends.

so does the mins etc add up for the next month if you dont use them?

good deal voted hot

is this better than giffgaff? Giffgaff uses O2 network.

not this again......will no doubt go mega hot, but still not as good as giffgaff, even when giffgaff drop their goodybag back down to 150mins, unlimited txts, unlimited data.

???? the data never ends if you pay £10 a month

does anyone know where to get a microsim from? And do the minutes rollover?

Thanks very much!

Im with T-mobile. and due for upgrade renewal soon. can i get my number/contract transferred onto this?

or is it just for new customers etc?

Internet is an absolute joke on this network. Limited 3g coverage and where there is coverage O2 seems to throttle the internet speed for Tesco mobile customers favouring their own. Just paid rest of my iphone contract off to leave them and go on T mobile which has far better coverage and speed.

Minutes do not roll over, was with Tesco mobile for 15 months and never once did any minutes roll over. There is also no call waiting and no lost or stolen emergency line after office hours. Therefore you are knackered if someone steals your phone out of hours and runs up a huge bill before they reopen again the next morning!

Okay, they don't except for the first month. As per their T&Cs "9.1 Unused Flexible credit cannot be carried forward one month to the next on any tariff, except for your first Minimum Term."

This isn't a 'I know a better offer' post, just giving a head up:

Just been checking my Virgin Mobile account and came across this info for VM customers (Didn't post new thread as it's not going to be for everyone)... Rolling 30day contract £10.21 - 200 minutes, unlimited texts, 1 gig data.. also unlimited free calls to other VM mobiles.

shop.virginmedia.com/exi…tml

Thought I'd mention it anyway as quite a few people have VM services.

Am looking for a new contract for my daughter as she wants internet on her phone and was tempted by this one but have just read the comments about giffgaff. Never heard of them before. Any good?

My lad uses it at the moment, it's fairly decent package for a no obligation sim.

GiffGaff is EXACTLY the same but has unlimited texts and truly unlimited data as opposed to 5000 texts and 500mb.

However, the 250 mins changes to 150 from the 1st April - I think.

Still great though if, like me, you use your smartphone for Internet and Texts more than Calls.

You can't get your contract transferred as it's a different network but you can transfer your number with a PAC code, see here for instructions: portnumber.co.uk/tra…ile

And yes you can get this deal as you will be a new customer.

As others have said, I'd choose giffgaff over this.

Yes giffgaff is good but it depends on the person. If she needs support would she rather just call up a number and speak to someone (Tesco) or be comfortable getting help from a website/community (giffgaff)?

Is this on instore also

Sorry but cold from me. GiffGaff runs of the same network and for £10 a month you get 250 minutes and unlimited data/ texts. No contract either, just have to top up every month.

With GiffGaff can you top up in shops by asking for an O2 top-up or do you do it online?

I am with giffgaff, but I do think this is a good deal. It'd be even hotter if there is a cashback.

Just so you know, giffgaff £10 for 250 min deal is due to expire by the end of March. It will then become 150 min.

Cheers for the Virgin Media info, I have just signed up.

Be aware that 'unlimited' texts are actually 3000. I have their £10 month contract with 'unlimited' texts and received a text today from tesco telling me that as I am nearing my ( unlimited) limit, I will be charged 10p per text!

So you're sending more than 100 texts a day. Why?

Is it a case of having to sign up before the end of March to get the 250 mins deal or does it expire for everyone (even existing customers)?

yes you can you just put the top up voucher code in on the website, and it instantly tops ups.
Also from your account you can set it to automatically top up when you run out of credit.
You can also convert existing credit into goodybags.

It runs out for everyone. Giffgaff works a little differently than most providers, so it takes a little bit of getting your head around.

Basically you can get a giffgaff sim and use it as a normal payg sim, topping up credit as you usually would and you'll be charged 8p per minute calls, 4p per text, and unlimited free internet till april (after this time they will start charging, although they keep extending it).

Where giffgaff differs is with the 'goodybags' they offer. These are essentially like buying a 1 month contract. Eg. you log onto the giffgaff website, and choose a 'goodybag' there are various options ranging from £5 to £25 depending on the amount of calls/text you need. This then runs for 1 month after which it goes back to being a payg phone, unless you buy another. The best option at the moment is the £10 goodybag which gives you 250 mins, unlimited texts, and unlimited internet. This is currently a special offer due to people liking it on facebook, and so will end for everyone. But even when it does end it will only switch to 150 mins which is still a really good deal.

Hope this helps

Great deal, heat.

Can anyone tell me if Tesco mobile have uk call centres please?

Thanks in advance.

not that great i get 600 mins - unlimited texts - igb data - bbm for £15 with vodafone
