sorted byOK, I live near here. I've never in my considerable decades on this planet ever heard of Orrell Water Park called 'picturesque'.
If you do decide to stay here, there are many, many nicer places to visit.
Make sure you visit Rivington rivingtonterracedgardens.org.uk/ that's just one link / example. It's huge and lots to see. There's also a Go Ape there too.
Southport isn't too far away either and is worth a day out visitsouthport.com/
Smithills Estate and Walker Fold Woods and Moors are also a short drive and well worth a visit woodlandtrust.org.uk/vis…te/
