Bear with me on this one but thought it worth sharing as either a Pre-Christmas Treat or to fill some time in the days between Christmas & New Year especially as they are celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their Magical Christmas Event & they say they have lots of extra special activities

365 Tickets have a code DMP10 that takes an extra 10% off their already discounted ticket prices for Drayton Manor's Magical Christmas event, with that code it seems to make them the cheapest around for tickets at the moment and you can just buy them on their own without a hotel stay via the link.
Eg
Adult (12+) Tickets now £16.20 each
Child (4-11 Tickets now £13.50 each
Concession (60+, with valid ID) now £13.50 each
Toddler (2-3) now £5.40 each

However, I thought why not extend the excitement & throw in a nights Hotel Stay, leaving you to have some time for shopping the sales or just to relax, so had a quick scout around & found some Travelodge Family Rooms from just £41 in Tamworth (there are cheaper rooms to be found, further out & in Birmingham, so could make the price even cheaper if you wanted)

So visiting Drayton Manor's Magical Christmas Event on Friday 29th would cost a family of Four just £59.70 (inc booking fee) & a 1 Night Stay in Tamworth Central that night would cost £41, a total of £100.70.

Really worth playing around with dates, because as I said, you can find rooms between 5-9 miles away for much less if you are prepared to travel eg Birmingham Streetly same night £33. You can find the link to Travelodge HERE & more info on the event itself HERE

Great deal if you live within a reasonable distance, but as with most of these things the cost of public transport to get there is ridiculous if you are a few hours away - train fares often cost more than my weekly grocery bill, so unless the family starve we have to miss out.

Does the code work for next summer?

Stating the obvious much, all these places are miles from public transport. You don't have to be within reasonable distance if you drive, we're 3 hours away & still went. Worst part was the 2+ hours it took to get out if the car park that put me off ever going back!
Looks like only day tickets to me unless its changed or im missing something which is a distinct possibility

Read the description - OP went looking for rooms on Travelodge etc for the hotel stays, not at Drayton Manor

We went to the Xmas celebration event on the first day it was open (by pure accident - we decided to go to DM not realising it was starting) and we really enjoyed it. There's a lot for the kids in Thomas Land, including several performances of music/acting and a lot of fake snow being sprayed about to make it feel Christmassy. The parade and fireworks at 5.30pm or so are worth hanging about for too.. Just wrap up warm as the cold can get to you after a few hours!

Do note that for this event only Thomas Land and the Zoo are open, along with the central route through the park - the rest of the park is closed. We still filled a whole day though, and none of the ride queues were more than a few minutes long.

PS Try the mulled wine, it's lovely!

It's the same getting out of any other place with thousands of cars, you won't ever go anywhere if you feel like that. Besides, the car parks are changing soon and the traffic situation will be very much improved for next year so give it another go.
