Lands end hey. That’s as far as I’d go..
Found a Travelzoo deal for this hotel before here, stayed for a few nights. Really spectacular location on the edge of the clifftops, looking down to the sea below. Short distance by car from some really nice beaches, Porthcurno is really close by and it's incredibly beautiful there.

If you could find something half way between here and York that would be perfect
I really love to visit Scotland and this deal seems so good. My question is what's the cheapest way to get to Scotland from London? The train fare is so expensive for myself and 2 children and I am not confident enough to drive to Thorpe Park let alone Scotland.
Any advice on how to keep the costs down would be appreciated. Thanks

Whereas is the closest railway station for this deal
Penzance. Then get a bus round to Land's End (it's about 8 miles away.)

This offer is in Cornwall, the furthest opposite end of the UK to Scotland!

But if you are trying to get to Scotland from London, and you don't want to drive, your three options are flying, train or coach...

As transport company's are trying to only offer "essential" travel only, there are not many good trains deals available and discourage people traveling.

As the UK comes out of lockdown, deals are likely to become available.

Keep an eye out on the LNER website, for train deals.

Also look keep an eye out on the National Express website for travel by coach, but journey times are 6-10 hours from London to Scotland.

easyJet fly to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness from Gatwick and Luton.
BA fly to most these cities from Heathrow and London City Airport.

Try and be flexible with your dates and book as far in-advance as possible. Also remember the cheapest tickets are usually non-refundable and dates cannot be changed.

Thank you very much . I checked all and I think the train is both convenient and cost effective.
