Phew long title!
Long story short, Groupon have an offer on at the moment for Holiday Inn Express at Knowsley Liverpool with prices for a 1 night stay for 2 Adults & 2 Kids with a bottle of wine & breakfast starting from just £27, if you use code CITYBREAK it will take a further 10% off.
They have dates available from now until the end of March & you can book online, prices do differ from day to day, Sundays tend to be cheaper & Saturdays seem to be much more expensive, anyway, I was having a quick scout for dates during Feb half term & the Thursday / Friday of that week ie 22nd / 23rd Feb, you can book a room for 2 Adults + 2 Kids with a breakfast for everyone & a bottle of wine thrown in for just £33.53 for all (works out approx £8.38pp).
Thought it might be useful to visit the nearby Safari Park or just have a change of scenery during the Feb School Hols. Even if these dates don't suit or there are just 2 of you, have a play around with the dates & see what you can find, there are some Fridays in December for £34ish after discount & Sundays in January for £28.67 for a family of 4 too.

What You Get
  • Double room for two people, twin room for two people, or double room with a sofa bed for two adults and two children up to the age of 12, depending on option chosen
  • Daily breakfast
  • One bottle of wine in room per stay
  • Dates into Mar 2018

Holiday Inn Express Liverpool - Knowsley is conveniently located only a 10-minute drive to Knowsley Safari Park, where wildlife can be admired on a foot or car safari. The hotel is an excellent base for football followers, with two iconic football stadiums, Liverpool FC at Anfield and Everton FC at Goodison Park, situated a 15-minute drive away. Visitors who would like to explore Liverpool city centre can reach its sights and shops in just a 20-minute drive.

Guests can unwind in air-conditioned rooms featuring contemporary decor, flat-screen TVs, hot drink-making facilities and en suite bathrooms with power showers.

Breakfast can be enjoyed at the on-site restaurant

This is an excellent deal. Mega cheap... Just the breakfast itself will be worth £33 for 4 (sort off)!!

Wish they had something similar in London or surrounding area

I'd agree with this. I live close by to this hotel and I'd say there's nothing worth seeing in walking distance, but for a cheap overnight stay close to Liverpool it'd be good value for a family.

This is quite far out of the city centre, on a very busy road and nowhere near any decent public transport links. Not so bad if you have a car (although parking in Liverpool for the day could cost you more than the hotel, so avoid the q-parks and drive to Kirkby station where there is a big free car park and a regular 15 minute train journey to the centre), but otherwise give it a miss.

Thanks Op.

I'm thinking this would be quite good for taking in a quality game at either Liverpool or Everton.

Park up from the Albert Dock (10 minute walk) on the main road, it's free.

The odd scouse is bad enough but imagine being around thousands of them... cant think of anything worse!

I can, how about you

Any Groupon discount codes on top of this???

Why would anyone want to go to Knowsley it is rough. You are better off staying at home and spending the £34 + fuel on some wine fillet steaks or what you fancy

Greatest city in the world
