Beware of them!Had an issue last time regarding cancellation of direct debit.I have to resort to asking my bank to resolve the problem and it took ages for Vectone to finally give up!

Can't argue for a £1. Heat added

Good price.

All plans looks very good price.

Hi,

Does anyone know if the 'All in one' international calls are to landline or mobile?

Cheers

DD are easy to cancel and there is sod all Vectone can do about it. So a little more info might make your point clearer.

I haven't used Vectone, so for people worried about direct debit etc, PAYG bundles seems to be good (so worries about overcharging)

vectonemobile.co.uk/pay…spx
e.g. £5 for 150 mins, 150 texts, 500 MB

Three UK is still better offering 1000GB over 4G. It may be more than £1 but it's something no other networks offers.

DD's are easy to cancel, but they are also just as easy for the client to re-establish. Simply by asking for money again DD's are automatically re-established. Took me best part of a year to get a problem with Citroen Leasing sorted out. I kept cancelling DD. They kept asking bank for money. Bank kept re-enacting DD. Realised that the DD guarantee is worth sod all!

I'm not saying this thing doesn't happen BUT when it does the card issuer is acting illegally and you are entitled to the money back plus interest - providing of course you can demonstrate you cancelled the DD authorization in sufficient time - in other words documentary evidence. See here.

Didn't know they could do that. Almost pointless guarantee. Sod em all.

Why on earth would you compare a £1pm plan with 50mb to a plan with gigabytes of 4G data.

perfect sim for school kids ( with whatsapp 50mb would last the month easy )

Anyone know what network Vectone piggyback on? If it's not 3 then this will be HOT

I think they piggyback on EE

en.wikipedia.org/wik…ile

Avoid like a plague.
Do you think you are safe, dream on. This is contract paid by DD not Pre-Paid......
Do not just got surprise your allowance is running out in just a few days and you do not know where they are going.I believe those who vote hot, have not got personal experience dealing by this bunch of crooks. Vectone is run similar to the one who are running casino or porn sites.

Never ever give them the payment by DD, never give them your CC or DC detail.

Keep in mind you are giving them the right for DD not just for £1 but also additional cost if you are using more then your monthly allowance. So, they could debit you whatever they want. Not to mention if you have dispute they are always the winner given that they could report you to CRAs which will ruin your credit worthiness. I am speaking from personal experience.

Google it and see what other people have said. This is just an example ...

I think it was reading the newspaper that did it.

I got my daughter a sim and a£10 bundle. No problem whatsoever, I just top up once online and have had no issues so far.

PAYG bundles seem good if you would rather avoid giving them DD details.
500mins (including international calls) plus 3000mb data and 3000 text in the £10 bundle

That's the one we are topping for my kid. Initially I got her a smaller bundle, but she used all the mbs by not turning the Internet off!!! I made clear to her to be careful now, she has 3gb and for whatsapp usage and find iphone (so we know where she is travelling to school) that should be plenty. Also if she makes the odd call and text comes out of the bundle.

For this pocket saver (that's what is called) you don't need sd, just top up and text. I would move to vectone for one £5 bundle, however I'm on Sainsburys and they keep sending incredible offers (1000 points if I top up £10, a free bundle etc). So I can't leave them lol.

As others have said, AVOID like the plague. Try PAYG first by all means if you don't want to believe the stories but do not enter into any sort of contract with them. They change the tariffs more often than you change your socks, and their billing seems to err well in their favour. I put £5 on with them a few years ago, was supposed to be 10p per MB back then, used a tiny bit of data ie a couple of MB one day (checked usage on my phone) and my credit just disappeared there and then.

1000gb?
1tb?
what?!

please explain

How is this better than the 3-2-1 tariff from Three? Ok, 50 minutes would cost you 1.50, but you pay only for what you actually use, no matter how much or little it is.

If you have spare money to throw away.... I suggest give it to a charity of your choice.

This is exactly what I need, thanks OP

MrPuddington is thinking what I'm thinking. Three's 321 PAYG plan is probably a better and safer choice rather than setting up a debit order and using one of EE's MVNOs.

For the equivalent of Vectone's offer, at Three you pay £1.50 for the 50 minutes and 50p for the 50MB of data. So that's just £2 a month (provided you only use that much in a month that is).

I use Three 321 PAYG. I'm a very light user, into a day 15 of a month and used 58p so far.

I guess that it's these countries for mobile and landline unless speciafied "landline only"

Don't know about that, 50mb would easily be wiped out if receiving videos via Whatsapp. Anyway awful untrustworthy company that doesn't allow itself to be held accountable. in my opinion not worth the possible risk and hassle.
Edited by: "stylekings" 4th Oct 2014

I'm tempted for £1, but after reading it's a DD I think I'll pass, I'll go for a PAYG SIM from whoever has the best deal atm... Thanks for posting!
