i was totally unaware that quidco give you £1 cashback for any collect plus transaction/ parcel you send . since royal mail got silly on prices over 1 kg i always use collect plus for heavier items and ive sent about 25 parcels and i could have had £25 tracked in my quidco account had i known about it and im sure there will be a few hotukdealers that are unaware too.

Slightly more at Topcashback

Grrrr...just paid for two 1.2kg parcels to go with Hermes....but not bad price....£3.90........drop off at the shop......(_;)

I think I'm right in saying that you get the best Collect + price when you purchase directly through the ebay sales system......so how would you get the Quidco?

Hermes is cheaper than Collect + if you go direct (not thru the ebay sales system I mean)

good to know! thanks

I don't believe it! Iv sent about 20 parcels via collect+ in the lat 2 months. Thanks for the heads up op, I will definitely go through quidco from now on

This is going to go volcano hot...!!!!!!!!!!!

on topcashback too.

it will never last

I didn't realise this either! I post with Collect+ all the time, hope it works for Ebay account as well as one-offs

Thank you

Where's the water? This is going to go up in flames!!!

I wouldnt be surprised if it was meant to be for new customers only. I usually use collect + through ebay as its slightly cheaper but this £1 will make it better to go direct. Thanks op.

Must be recent as was only recently looking. Used to send 10 parcels a week when they were £4

Gone back to second recorded for under 1kg at £3.70

This brings collect plus almost inline and cheaper than old price

£1.05 through topcashback

HTH.

HOT!!

Hermes are the worst EVER service for the recipient. I would urge you not to use them. Horrendous! Please refrain. I always ask up front who they are going to use. Royal Mail for £4.10 or Hermes for £3.90. If they say Hermes, they do not got my business.

Spend the extra 20p for a service where the recipient is not kept waiting by some local scrote who is very often obnoxious and feel like you're actually putting them out....

been using this for months, was £1.10 last week

Thank OP, voted HOT HOT HOT> Didn't know this, certainly will come in use next time I need to send something.

Hmm I dont know why but when I try to print postage label on ebay for an item which will be posted using collect+ it only shows me royal mail dead expensive parcels now. Earlier I could post it from eBay without typing address or anything and it was really cheap.

Cant raise a cashback claim and it never tracks. Be warned!!

I know what you're saying Steamy Wee.....but I have been sending stuff with them...with no drama's thus far........does Royal Mail include insurance?

Topcashback gives £1.01 which is better all round considering quidco takes £5 a year

mine tracked in around five hours last night so no such issues for me . If they really were that bad quidco would remove them as it would not make good advertising /business having merchants that don't pay out

Your talking about sending things under 1kg, of course royal mail is best for that. this is about over 1kg where royal mail charge twice as much.

So hermes is £3.90 who are a bit rubbish, or collect plus are the same but cashback might not track and you cant make claim for it
Ive never had an issue with hermes yet and sent about 100 parcels

Edited by: "davidian84" 20th Nov 2013

I had no idea and I use them for 100s of parcels per year!

Not one of my Collect+ parcels has ever tracked through Quidco, and I have tried dozens and dozens of times. Not a single, solitary one, despite clearing cookies etc. What's worse is that Quidco don't accept enquiries for Collect+, so you'll never see the money.

Royal Mail have lost 1-2% of everything I've sent, Hermes 0%. I've had no complaints from anyone other than good service, there's always a risk with any courier, but I've got plenty of stories to tell about other companies, you'd probably hold up in high esteem alongside the Royal Mail.

I used Quidco and Collect + a few weeks ago and did each transaction separately so each parcel tracked £1. Worth the extra effort.

quidco not free just took £5 off me. all my collect plus tracked using cleared cache through explorer. didn't use chrome as hit and miss. none paid out yet but either way had to pay it so bonus if confirmed.

It was £1.10 a couple of days ago so not voting....

Mine used to not track (using Firefox and tcb) but I realised it was adblock stopping it and now it tracks no problem

You need to request to be switched to the free account if you're on the £5 a year account.

Hot. And gutted I didn't know about this. Must be £20 cashback wasted already!

Yes you are quite right ..... sorry

there was a time parcel2go offering £4 cashback per order

HOT. Thanks OP
booked 15 parcels via hermes in past week.

Use to use collect plus before they increased their prices.

several tracking from a month ago but no payout so far. Other users waiting since august for payout but nothing.....so I wouldn't go out my way to use collect plus based on expected £1 quidco.

Good service though and I use for parcels too heavy or big for royal mail small parcel.
