I am confused....where does it say AA? I posted this and didn’t once mention AA?
Oh I bought a cheap break down cover on here once I broke down and had to pay £322 on the spot to get home. Then claimed it back in 6 weeks. Messed up my pub time. I would rather pay £18 a month with the RAC and be free to go to the pub ahhhh

I have just messaged UKHotdeals about this as my post initially just said …I have just messaged UKHotdeals about this as my post initially just said “1 year breakdown cover on wowcher”. Hopefully they will comment on here to confirm they added that part and then corrected it later.

It would state on the original post if you had edited it. It was probably a mod that edited it then changed it upon realising their mistake. Dont worry about those trying to stir up trouble.

is this restricted to one registered car or can it be used on multiple cars?

I think it’s one vehicle per policy.
This link takes me to breakdown cover with Emergency Assist not AA?
NOT The AA. This is with Emergency Assist Ltd. Cold.
This is not AA.
Isn't the AA policyholders i.e if you are a passenger and the car brakes down they still come out. Had to cancel mine many moons ago because the brother-in-law was using it more than me

Cold - not RAC, AA or green flag.
I fully recommend startrescue for breakdown, top cover in the UK for £23 plus they have an easy to use app should you break down
I have had their policy for two years now. Last year they were taken over can't remember the previous name.
Anyway I've never had a breakdown or made a claim so can't comment.

1st year I paid £6 as their was a Groupon offer floating around. Last year I paid £20.
Love this company bought it last year and not had a problem. Arrived quickly when I broke down and a very nice chap. It is linked to the car and cost me £ 3 to change when I bought my new car but so worth it with old bangers.
I’d be very careful with ‘breakdown companies’ such as these - generally their policies are not worth the paper that they’re written on.
I won’t mention where I work, but I had a lady broken down late on New Years Eve with 4 kids in the car in a very precarious location - her bonnet catch had failed and the bonnet had flipped up and wouldn’t go back down.
These cowboys said that they wouldn’t attend as this was “quite clearly an RTC” and she wasn’t covered for that. Long story short, she had to pay for another company to come out.
Never come across such scum-baggery. Avoid at all cost - there are so many others out there offering great deals with cashback, Tesco vouchers etc.
The old adage springs to mind; you get what you pay for.

£18 A MONTH? Do they give you a car as well at that price...
Not had experience of Emergency Assist before however, had dealings with breakdown company supplied via my bank.
Unfortunately, following a breakdown I called the company and they sent someone. Not competent at all, more interested in just recovering the car. I declined, how someone to jump start and all was good.

Subsequently purchased cover for 3 Family cars with garage cover for 1 car. Cost £260+, less £126 cashback with Top cashback. Top cover via AA for 3 cars plus covered as passenger in another car for £150.

Then had to call the AA for the other vehicle, came out and had all diagnostic equipment- problem promptly sorted.

Point being that in my experience some other companies may not have the knowledge or the diagnostics required equipment to sort. Unless you just want to be recovered!
The company reviews on Trustpilot are awful. Cold
I've just had my renewal from RAC through. Any car, me and wife, driving or not, £48. Considering the speed and service I received when I broke down on the Spring Bank Holiday 2017, I'm happy with that.
I was with them a few years ago and then left as the service was very poor. They wouldn't help when I had a flat tyre and on another occasion weren't much help when I had an issue with car not starting properly. I then ended up going with RAC even though I had a few months left with Emergency Assist and there is a significant difference in the service. It effectively cost me £60 for the year after cashback for two people.
This year I have joined AutoAid who have very good reviews. Only £43 for 15 months and they cover my wife as well.
I also had a bad experience, once my car stopped and wouldn't start so call these guys to come they says they will arrive in about 2 hours so I waited. After waiting for half an hour tried my car to restart and to my surprise my car started so I cancelled my previous call. But they aak me to pay £100 for the service they haven't provided. Careful about this company, if you look on hmrc website the ceo of this company running few breakdown cover companies which are as auweful as this.

I have had cover with Emergency Assist. They are a fraud company.

They will not attend your car and if they do it’ll be 5 hours later. In the meantime if you happen to cancel your call out you will be charged £90 and if you do not pay they will terminate your policy.

Furthermore, if the engineer comes out and finds no fault you will be billed for that call out. These engineers are not competent and they do not have their own engineers. They call the local one on their tab.

If you fail to pay the £90 then they threaten to send bailiffs over and also do a county court judgment.

The director - Mr Gary Haim will casually email you without stating he is a director and offers no recourse to any of the issues.

It took me weeks before they budged on the call out fee, my sister had broke down but called them back within 10 mins saying she wouldn’t need them. By this point emergency assist had instructed an engineer who was on route but failed to send a text or call to my sister to indicate this. All very suspect, when I quizzed the customer service advisor as to why was a call not made she said that’s not their policy and they have no gps tracking of their drivers.

To add more salt, the Breakdown line is the same as the customer service line.

I’ve also heard they charge auto renewal once you’ve informed them you don’t want this and will take it anyway.

Sorry OP from my experience I’m voting this cold as it’s a fraudulent company.

I had that policy for few years. I had to use it once while they were still trading as previous company (as @rimalpatel007 mentioned). I had to call them out once and it was fine. But when they have been taken over things get much worse. They are NOT an insurance company, it is NOT a policy technically (Just a membership product) and they are NOT regulated by Financial Conduct Authority unlike most other providers. This time they charged me £100 To come for the blown tyre. I have complained and they didn't really care about it. Check out their T&C's that look as if they were written by the 1st year mediocre law student - and have so many exclusions and contradicting points that you could argue whether your cover would work at all. As they charged me for what they shouldn't in my opinion, I have disputed the charge with the bank - and following the chargeback procedure bank decided my claim is valid. Then Emergency scAmssist sent me a letter they have terminated my membership. And no-one bothers replying to my complaint. I'm not saying they are totally bad but check the conditions whether the terms really suit your needs.
Gary Haim if you’re reading this ... you’re a dweeb!
