I've been trying to get some friends to join cashback sites for years, but they're not convinced. Hopefully these true, top-earning examples will show them what they're missing

I have to agree. Had to fight every TopCashback claim I've ever had and so very painfully slow at paying. Quidco far better.
Never had a problem myself with TCB but there we go

Been trying to persuade peeps to join TCB for years, they all come back with the same arguement, namely that its not free cash as you have to spend to earn it, cannot get it through to them that you just need to spend a little time on searches and you can save a lot of money on items that you ARE going to buy anyway. Banked about £2500 since i joined a few years ago. A penny saved is better off in my pocket than the retailers.

A true HUKD legend.

I like the fact that the £12k figure can't fit within the circle - did make me chuckle. Still to hit the 5 figures myself. Presumably you do the yearly broadband switches, gambling websites, credit card deals etc. for yourself and family members?

Yep , always switch when contracts are up , normally for a better deal , always check the newly added deals because sometimes the deals are so good that they don't last too long. Defimately do the gambling sites , because it's not actually a gamble getting more in cashback than you actually stake. and for a crafty one - cancel your sky and re-subscribe a month later in your partner's name. Happy Cashbacking .

1. For sure TCB has its problems BUT it's still the best UK cash back site.
2. For those of you who are thinking of registering new Tesco account to take advantage of this, TCB normally regards "new customer" not only on new Tesco account but also on first time tracking activity through them on Tesco site.

No , it's for new Tesco customers , you don't have to be a new TCB customer. ( Tip - if you have already registered at Tesco , use a diferent email and payment method )

Keep an eye on insurance sites, especially car, get cashback for comparing sites then look for the cheap ones that offer good cashback. Did a comparison last year and ended up with Halifax house insurance, @ £137 after cashback. My car insurance was £172 after cashback, (postal renew quotes were £321 for house and 296 for car so worth comparing and changing)
I'm over 9 grand up on Topcashback so love it. If your new to Topcashback, look out for referrals to give you an initial boost too. There's usually an extra free £10 to be had if you sign up via one of those. Just Google for one.

I normally use Quidco. I read glowing reviews on Topcashback and tried using it for some transactions instead.

One paid out for half the original quoted rate, and I had to contact them a half dozen times over several months to get it paid. I've got other payments hanging in limbo since December, and their support has been disinterested.

I have some similar Quidco payments, and when I chased them up with the support, they were paid out within a day. Quidco price match if their cashback rate is lower than Topcashback, which is a bit of a pain, but better than not getting the cashback at all. There is a £5 annual fee for the Quidco premium support, but it is well worth the money for me.
What people don't realize is that most cashback deals cost more on the first place. Granted you can get the odd deal were it's the same price as everywhere with the potential cash back. Try a car insurance quote through tcb, then exact same details through the retailer.
