Valid at retail store or at Halfords.com
Example buy this rubber mallet & get an mot for a £10.00

Don't try to buy a carrier bag, they got that one covered, I dunno guess they added it for a reason

Used Halfords last year in Erdington, Birmingham no issues took about an hour.

you really haven't a clue what your talking about, I got the "FREE" mot deal last October with any purchase (I bought a £2.40 tin of sweets)

After my car went through without a problem, I went in and bought another tin of sweets and got another free mot

My car passed that mot last friday

Stop pushing your uneducated opinion until you know

That would imply they are inept or corrupt, maybe in some garages for the big chains ATS, KwikFit this happens on occasion, in my exp the same happens in non chain garages, where they may charge £40-50 , this way you get to walk away a tenner down, that being said i doubt the vast majority are corrupt or inept, its a bit tin foil-ish!

You can go online (if it's the same as the free mot last year)

And book a date within the next 12 months

Don't be salty bro! My car passed first time too no £250 bill either. Let's take this time to thank the op for posting such a beautiful deal. Saves me £44 and HEAT
Op it says

If you have purchased any item from Halfords, between 30th April and 15th May 2019, you should have received a voucher with your unique MOT code.

Looks like this offer has expired.
Last time I got my car MOT at halfords they paid me just too let them have the privilege of testing it... 🙈
They're referred to as "Halfrauds" for a reason amazing how gullible some on here are!

P. S. What age/millage was your car?

I’m referring to this thread a while back, this clown was supposed to have blocked me anyway but still replies every time me or anyone criticises his beloved Halfrauds. FYI you were lucky, I’ve had nothing but bad dealings with them.

They found multiple faults in my 2009 car and deemed it to be risky. They quoted me to have brake pads and discs changed, aswell as all tyres.

I explained I couldn’t afford it all (£800 quote), so they suggested the back two tyres had some life left in them for a few thousand miles (2-3 months).

I took it to Kwik Fit for a second opinion and they said brake pads/discs were fine. The tyres were still well within the legal limit too (I had 4mm left at least).

I took it into another Halfords and they only tried getting me to change front 2 tyres (no mention of pads/discs or the other 2 tyres).

Needless to say that I don’t trust Halfords at all, and have heard a lot of similar stories too.
Great if you have a 3 year old car going for 1st Mot as you can take in a month early and any major issues get sorted under warranty. However, as others have stated becarful with an older vehicle, new MOT rules could mean them marking your car as not being able to leave the car park!

My car is 10yrs old, as soon as it needs tyres, break pads, service it's done by an independent

If you do nothing but just drive it into the ground overlooking repairing it, then your comment is true

If you do as I do, not a lot could be there for a fail
The last time they did this offer they upped the minimum spend from 50p to £50 .
