Are you one of those 'I received this product free or at a discounted price in exchange for an un-bias review' people?
Y'know.. the people who leave completely useless, biased reviews and are ruining Amazon?

How do you become a product tester on Amazon?

First you must sell your soul

I get free stuff from Etsy sellers for posting on my Instagram and YouTube, I always disclaim it. I have been told repeatedly that it helps drive customers to what are often small businesses. Your opinion is not at all surprising, considering you are profiting from freebies.

The issue is that they are rewarded for positive reviews and punished for negative. Here's some more basic marketing for you:

You own a Chinese company mass producing phone stands. There's 600 other similar products out there so to get the edge and get that "popular" moniker on Amazon and get to the top of the searches, you want a lot of positive reviews, fast.

You pay a marketing company to ship your products out for "free unbiased reviews".

Those reviews are unfavourable and instead kills your product.

Will you give that marketing company some more products to kill? No. Will the marketing company send those same honest reviewers more products to tarnish, losing them more clients? No. Will the reviewers learn to lie in order to keep getting free stuff? Yes.

Therefore those genuine buyers who base their purchases off good and honest reviews start finding they are buying crap.

Those buyers can no longer trust the reviews, so no longer buy products from Amazon.

TLDR: I_have_crabs is correct, these reviewers are destroying Amazon, especially as they are no longer required to disclose the product was given to them for free.

Didn't receive.

Well, I'll help you.
They pick them at random

On an, in no way related, note; are they still putting lead in petrol in some parts of the UK?

Disagree I suspect they have very careful algorithms that decide this.

I always spend on amazon and would love £10 off to show loyalty

Nothing for me...

In fact I received an email this morning about opening a business account with them... Think I spend far too much @ Amazon!

i've spent roughly £400 over the last 3 weeks and received the email, i'm annoyed actually because i had more or less finished shopping and then i receive this, im sure between my computer and alexa they knew i had finished spending and wanted to tempt me to spend more

Nah I'm not I provide the feedback straight to the seller and if I feel it deserves a review then I often go indepth on the positives and negatives of the products. I've had 66 helpful votes in the last few months so my reviews must be helping someone
