Finally decreased to an affordable price,

The Stanley Kubrick: Visionary Filmmaker Collection is a blistering treat for anyone with a deep, longing love of the movies. It’s a pack that brings together seven films from the late, great Stanley Kubrick, spread across eight discs.

The quality of the films in question speak for themselves. There’s the 40th anniversary edition of the groundbreaking A Clockwork Orange to kick things off, and other high profile classics include 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut and Full Metal Jacket.

Yet boxsets such as these also, by their nature, champion the films that haven’t had such levels of appreciation. Thus, to get a glistening release of the likes of Lolita and Barry Lyndon is a massive bonus in itself, and goes a long way to justify the price of the set.

Some films here get more generous extra features than others, which is a shame, and there’s still quite possibly the definitive Stanley Kubrick boxset yet to be made. However, the Visionary Filmmaker Collection is still a terrific package, bringing together a clutch of important films from a genuine cinematic one-off. Quite, quite brilliant. --Jon Foster

Not sure about Eyes Wide Shut (never seen it and some one who did said it was rubbish) but the rest are well worth the money. IMHO Barry Lyndon is excellent and a much overlooked film.
great price, I'd have paid £15 for The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and A Clockwork Orange alone. Plus it gave me a chance to get one of the Add On items I've been wanting for a while to get that free delivery

Barry Lyndon is possibly my favourite film of all time. Simply peerless in every department.
Naughty, naughty, naughty... You filthy old soomka!

A collection of some the finest films ever made for the price of a single new blockbuster. Shame it doesn't come with Dr Strangelove otherwise it would have had all of Kubrick's finest work.

I recommend that you watch Eyes Wide Shut for yourself. It's enthralling.
Increadible set. Some great special features, especially the commentarys.
Anyone else think The Shining is just all right ? Like if it wasn't made by Kubrick it wouldn't be so highly rated
Only film out of all them that I think is ' great ' is Full Metal Jacket , the rest are just a bit meh . To be fair I ain't seen 2001
Welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, welly, well. To what do I owe the extreme pleasure of this surprising deal.

Eyes Wide Shut is one of Kubrick's best. Criterion's version of Barry Lyndon is the one to get, big improvement and great extra's.

Stick to simple films then, saying meh to films you don't understand or digest is a pity.
