Most of the spirits will be cheaper elsewhere if they are on promotion in another supermarket, but handy if you are going to Waitrose or don't have other supermarkets close by.

£17 Jack comes down to £15.30 after myWaitrose discount so only an extra 30p on the Sainsbury's price...
(although 30p on this site does seem to be worth more than it is in the real world :{)

How does the coffee / newspaper offers work these days? Is there a minimum spend?

Are there any wines / champagnes worth getting?
Thanks

Coffee is free with no spend, newspaper is £5 spend Mon-Fri £10 Sat-Sun

And every branch has a wine specialist, you can get good advice, I've no idea sorry, not much of a drinker

Cool, they just sent me a few vouchers for £8 off a £40 spend

Woodford Reserve Bourbon and Chase Vodka prices are very tempting! The new Heston Cherry Bakewell vodka looks very nice too as it is based on Chase vodka.

They keep sending me £10 off £40 spend vouchers. Don't mind if I do.

Voted HOT

Waitrose are far better at selling wine at closer to its actual value. They don't do the trick of selling £3 wine for £6 but with occasion offers of 3 for £10 or similar.

Taittinger Rose Champagne for Xmas day for me then! 25% discount already, then 10% with the card.. *slurp*

site is crashing for me on payment!

I'll stick to three bottles of the Aldi £10, Champaign, highly rated in taste tests, you would only get about 1 bottle of tat for that, but we are all different.

How much is the whiksy if you just drink the coffee from a cup?...................:p

Awesome deal OP. Hot hot hot.

Particularly good buy is the Hine Rare VSOP Cognac, difficult to find under £40 anywhere, with the 10% works out at £33.10, certainly won't find an equivalent at this price in Aldi!

...as in HO(t) HO(t) HO(t)?

Got it in one.

Does anyone know how long this is running for?

I have just been sent some 10 off a 40 spend too, shame nearest store is 35 miles away !

The Hine Rare VSOP Cognac at £33.10 (with the 10%) is a particularly good buy as its difficult to find anywhere for under £40 (more like £43/£45 most places). You certainly won't find an equivalent quality cognac at this price in Aldi!

Also use code WCXMAS12 for £15 off orders over £100 and quidco too - great savings on some quality items

Do they do Rose Champagne though..? I prefer that over the normal stuff.

Bought some Chase Distillery Marmalade Vodka last night after trying some of their other offerings at Waitrose. Found out I am not allergic to Vodka after all (just Russian Standard). The guy explained that some vodkas are made with grain and others with potato. Some of the grain stuff is pretty harsh, hence the marketing of put a bottle in the freezer. All it does it tone the harshness down. The Chase Vodka you could drink on its own at room temperature and it still tasted good. Have to admit it is the most expensive bottle we have ever bought (including champagne) but it does taste yummy.

Afraid not just the £10 one dailymail.co.uk/new…tml

Many like to put a splash of Chambord in, en.m.wikipedia.org/wik…eur a tiny amount gives it a great taste. If your going to be drinking lots of it, a good Carva with a tiny bit of Chambord (half or under the amount they tell you to use) is great. From £5 a bottle!

Try the Gin Mare - Barcelona Gin which you just mix with tonic no lemon. Thats down to 32 quid a bottle and is fantastic

Thanks for the heads up OP

I'm a big fan of Chase (used to be Tyrrell's, made with the left-over potatoes from their crisp business). Their neat stuff is good, but also have marmalade, rhubarb, raspberry and "smoked", the latter being my absolute favourite.

My husband tried some of the others and said they tasted pretty good too. I think we will be popping down the road for a distillery visit in the future!

Thanks for pointing this one out.
Normal price £46, on offer less 20%, less my waitrose 10 %, less £10 off a £60 spend and my bottle netted down to fractionally over £27 !!
I shall look forward to opening this on 25th - fortunately there will be no one around to have to share it with except for the missus and I might even let her have a small drop.
At £27 I'm tempted to use another of the £10 off coupons and get another bottle for a rainy day - hic!

Thanks OP.
The my waitrose offer was time brilliantly to work with the 3 x £10 off £60 spend vouchers that arrived yesterday!

Stocking up for Xmas won't be quite so expensive now.

You get an extra 5% off if you buy 6 or more bottles and you buy from a shop. The 5% for 6+ doe snot apply to online purchases. Have checked.

I bought some Torres Vina Esmeralda, reduced by 20% from £8.49 to £6.79, then down to £6.11 with the myWaitrose 10%, then down to £5.80 for buying 6+ bottles.
