Cashback will be calculated as 10% of the retail price paid including VAT. The cashback amount will be rounded up to the nearest pound, for example a Mac notebook purchased at £1249 will receive £125 cashback. A Mac notebook purchased at £749 will receive £75."

They also have other deals:

- Trade in your Mac notebook and receive up to £170 towards a new one.

- Save £20 off Microsoft Office when you buy with any laptop.

I've never seen a deal on Macs here in the UK, so when Currys sent me an email about 10% cash back on all Macs, I was pretty excited. Especially as I'm looking to upgrade my trusty MacBook.

Happy shopping!

It's gone down to -26 degrees on posting! I thought a deal starts at 0 degrees?

Why is it a ripoff? You save £235 off retail price!

Even die hard Apple fans are pretty negative on the new ones pricing / ports....

I know I won't be upgrading my 2015 MacBook Pro...

Not for me, but this is a deal and the website is called HotUKDeals, so hot from me.

Ok, but for those of us lugging older laptops dating back to 2013, looks pretty good! And it is a deal, as someone said.

It's a thankless job posting Apple deals up on here, lots of haters who've never even used or owned one, but somehow know that they are overpriced junk.

That's probably the best deal on this machine at the moment. But it's only cheaper than BT Shop by £15 and their price is not a special offer.

KRCS had the machine at £2060 over the Black Friday and cyber Monday weekend but that deal has now gone.

They'd be better off being a used 2015 model mate. Especially as Kaby Lake will bring much improved battery life, especially when you consider the RAM they used in this one.

Yes this is basically a big iPhone, nothing can be upgraded and even harder to repair :-o
Apple have become more a fashion brand than a computer company

Good luck, my deal for a similar discount on the 13" model from a week or so back is running at -415 currently

Seems like a good deal if you were looking to get one of these tho!

Silly comment.

Pretty much all of the high quality (unibody etc) slim notebooks are not after market upgradable, that includes ones from Dell, Asus, Acer etc...

Plus MacBooks truly last. Also the go to choice for software engineers and photographers... All the Big Data Engineers I work with use MacBooks and wouldn't use anything else.

Yeah OH ordered his on launch day, gutted about this discount now

I've had my MacBook for nine years now and it's still going strong.

I have to say, I'm a big Apple fan with a 2013 MacBook Pro and nothing is making me want this new one. I really don't fancy carrying a bag full of wires and dongles around with me because they've ripped everything out. Even changing the charger, which was and is genius on my model, is madness! No thanks

I'd love to vote this hot, as it's a discount on a new model, but much like a dyson deal where there may be a better option with extras for cheaper; most people would be better getting the previous mbp (or even a non-pro MacBook). Even against discount; the previous looks more attractive.
It does seem to be 'cool' to vote Apple cold for no reason, or not based on experience. You can almost see the reasoning; "laptops aren't worth that; they're unusable after six months, the features and buttons are buggy, the battery life is exaggerated, and completely dies just out of warranty. I bought a Dell at half price, which is about right..."

Booooo! A pet gripe more than a rational appraisal of the deal at hand.

Blown speakers, battery issues galore and failing graphics chips already. Don't fancy beta testing the new range for Apple given the gremlins already uncovered.

Need to can this Autmn's offerings and start again.

Do you have a link to a news article stating this or are these random assertions based on an alternative reality? I've never heard of this in any Apple release. That's an edge they have over the likes of Samsung.

I've bought a macbook pro a week before black Friday, few days later the price went up by £100. On black Friday they offered a discount code: £100 off any macbook as part of their Black Friday event; currys and pc world

I payed £1599 for mine, just checked now and is £1899

Sneaky tactic.

The only plus point of this new model is the AMD 450 GPU doesn't seem to be suffering the same issues the AMD 460 GPU is. Otherwise, I got a brand new top spec 2015 15" with Applecare for under £2k via eBay.

I just checked the receipt and I payed £1599 (post edited). £300 difference it seems

I bet it will be around £1600 on Boxing day - Macbook pro 15 retina

Starting price should be £999 from beginning

my last mbp was mid 2010 model and still going strong...I have looked for a new macbook and tbh, they are not up to snuff nowadays for the prices they want

Have a read of Apple's forums, Macrumors or indeed any Mac news site. Not exactly a secret that these new MacBooks have more than their fair share of problems. That you haven't heard of any problems with Apple hardware before, particularly the flakey 2011 range, strains credulity. You might want to ask yourself why Apple has had to implement many recall programs or weren't you aware of those either?

I am a Mac customer since the 1990s and do not view Apple through the rose-tinted spectacles that others seem to have.

Sure, every product has recalls. I've been using Apple Macs since early 2000's and only remember one MBP battery recall, due to overheating issues.
