Odd, can’t find it in my account.

Odd, can’t find it in my account.

Think it only appears on some cards (like Amex offers) - only appeared on my HSBC. Not on my FD or Nationwide. Reports of another variant of this offer being £30 c/b.
Nowt there, alchemist for 20%, no to leaves and broad beans
Would this be able to be use for petrol?

The gift card exemption is always in the Ts&Cs but never had a problem. At the end of the day, all HSBC/Visa/Amex see is a £x spend from Morrisons, they don't get the breakdown of what it was spent on. Petrol stations are different though, as the merchant would be something like 'Morrisons Petrol' rather than normal Morrisons.

Not sure if gift cards can be used on fuel, I expect not

Might be account specific, which is unusual but I can't see it on my HSBC (or First Direct) account offers. Only Grocery offer listed is for 'Degustabox' whatever that is!
Same on Halifax Cashback extras. Excludes petrol.
Definitely account/location specific. I have hsbc visa (as stated in the OP), but this is not one amongst the 20 current offers I have.
Ha. I thought I was pretty financially savvy but I never even knew these HSBC Visa offers were for debit card holders too. Oh well,at least I do now.

I've bought Morrisons gift vouchers on a similar deal with Halifax and had no trouble using them to pay for petrol. I have one in front of me now and it says 'This voucher is redeemable in any department at any Morrisons supermarket'.
No issues so far buying gift cards at Morrisons and getting cashback with other banks (Santander, Halifax, Nationwide visa offers, Amex) so this should work.

One thing to check though: Morrisons in Blaydon, Gateshead limited gift card purchases to one per transaction just before Christmas (apparently to try and limit a spate of people being conned into buying them then giving out the numbers).

Might be worth checking if this as you may only be able to get one.

Is there something like this for credit cards??
@LankyChris what do you mean by £50 cashback for an extra £5 back? Where’s this offer?

I think HSBC visa works for HSBC issued debit and credit cards once you've registered them in your account, at least it does for Nationwide which seems to be the same visa site with different branding.

Cashback at the till. I've edited the comment to clarify.

I have an American Express platinum credit card and they have a variety of cashback offers all the time.
Hot. I had something like this with amex over xmas. No limit on cashback.

Bought over £10k worth of giftcards from various morrisons, made around £6 per card plus the morrisons vouchers. Don't try and activate more than 5 at a time at the tills, takes ages.

To use them, add to your paypal account and gift to your wife. Ask her to withdraw to bank and beg her to pay it back to you.

Account specific + only HSBC Visa cards.
How do you find this?
Cashback received from Sunday purchase. Spent on gift cards (though they had some stupid rule so I could only get around £300 worth).

NOTE: Cashback at the till is not valid for this offer
- I didn't get 10% off the cashback, only off the gift card purchases

My cashback at the till hasn't worked either. This seems to be a recent change as although they always say it isn't included in these offers this is the first time they've actually excluded it from the total when tracking the spend amount.

I suspect this might be a change by Visa as I've also had various Santander offers excluded the cashback in the last few weeks, even though it's worked at the same shops in the past.

It looks gift vouchers are the best option now, until they stop those too!
This is back again on mine this weekend - valid until 27th April!
