I've bought a couple of tyres for £150 and I'm getting a free night in a hotel. I'm not going to be paying for anything else no matter what they say so I don't see what the problem is.
I also go on the £9.50 Sun holidays although I never buy the newspaper...

Worth it just for the 10% off, thank you

Yeah but it will cost you 300% extra when your brakes are found to be “dangerous” probably need your suspension doing as well guv.
still wouldn’t use kiwk fit if they were giving away a year long all expense paid trip to Hawaii.

I think the free hotel stay is for when your tyres fall off
Encouraging the customer to burn rubber twice

I had tyres from them too, they lost a tyre cap and replaced it with one of their cr*p metal ones without mentioning it, that then corroded itself to my tpms valve....

You would be amazed what they can **ck up. Wait till they over tighten the nuts and you get a flat then cant change the wheel yourself.

If they were consistently this poor, across the country, at all branches, then surely they'd go bust. As they haven't can only assume they're not.

I'll drop the wheels off and ask them to put the tyres on them. I'm currently using my winter set.

Not really .There are millions of motorists who can't even open their bonnet so turning up to Kwik fit for tyres or service just waiting for their pants to be pulled down .I suppose you can't blame a business for profiteering when you have a captive customer base who know zero about the mechanical lump they drive.

I'm getting a couple of tyres put on my car - honestly I know what I'm doing.

I am sure you do .My answer was in response to why they are still in business if they are ripoff merchants .If you have zero knowledge about a motor vehicle then you will probably believe what these so called experts tell you .
Kwik Fit charged me £140 for a 4 wheel alignment because nowhere else within 40 miles does them. I watched them do it - turned the 2 rear camber bolts a few degrees and that was it all over in less than 3 minutes.
I took advantage of a similar offer in August but for Goodyear tyres.

Description
4 x Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance at £48.00
Tyre Size 205/55V16
EU Tyre Label Info - Vehicle Type C1, Fuel Efficiency B, Wet Grip A, Noise Rating 1-68dB £192.00
4 x Wheel Balancing at £6.75 £27.00
4 x Standard Valve (Cap & Core if TPMS fitted) at £4.75 £19.00
4 x Environmental Tyre Disposal at £1.50 £6.00
1 x Wheel Alignment Check FREE
1 x Free Visual Brake Check FREE
Sub Total £244.00
Discount £19.20
Total £224.80

I also claimed my free 1 night hotel stay and went to Isle of Wight and stayed at Ryde Castle hotel ( worth £90 )

Three of the tyres are still going strong. I did pick up a nail somewhere and punctured one of them and had to get it replaced. Unfortunately, punctured tyres when driven flat do not have any warranty.

Anyone have a list of the hotels included?

Just had my MOT done two days ago and the only thing that was advised were my front two tyres. I also checked my brake pads, disks etc. prior to my car going for its MOT so if they start any of that, I won’t be having it.

Mostly old people.

Yes, on the kwik fit website

Erm, Where?

I've looked but can't find... please provide a link.

No not at all. Majority of my family and friends no nothing about a car other than put petrol in and j wouldn't say they were old.
How many people could change their own tyre ?
That's reasons why these fast fit centres earn money.
Knowledge is king .

It’s about doing a bit of research rather than just say “oh they had a catchy song on tv, I’ll go to them” as I said, old people.

Think you will find the older generation were more knowledgeable about car repairs than the current younger drivers who probably can lift the bonnet.

Good spot OP thanks, I was looking for 4 new tyres. It's not quite 10% off as there is no discount on the fitting, balancing and valves. However, I have bought 2 pairs on different orders, so will see if I manage to blag 2 nights away. Free mobile fitting as well, so no hard sell on the other parts too, hopefully.39921691-rREnQ.jpg

I've done the research and I'm getting 2 decent tyres at a decent price, and I'm getting a free night away with the missus in Harrogate thrown in. I can't say I remember how the catchy song goes mind.
I'm 54...

This link is 7 years old. I believe they have been bought out since then. It might be ideal to provide an updated report on this.

granted not all their garages and employees are going to be this rogue but its not worth taking the chance imo... and round me I have herd lots of first hand stories of shockers from our local kwik fits.

From 13th feb on trust pilot...

Went for a service last year and Kwik-Fit told me that my battery was dying while I just had one replaced 2 weeks before. They REFUSED to give me the result of the test. Went back to my local garage and confirmed the battery is totally fine. What a SCAM! Avoid at all cost!

Per T&Cs "Only one claim per vehicle is permitted." though you might get lucky if they don't cross reference orders, reg plates and claims.

I saw that after the purchase, but myself and my partner now have the packs. Mobile fitter was excellent as well, did the job in the pouring rain 2 weeks ago. Will try a Quidco claim now...
